New guild chat option?

So sometimes..in faction chat you have people causing drama, and sometimes even as an officer you can't get that person/people to stop causing the drama unless they get kicked/tired of it and stop on their own accord.

So maybe a new option could be added to moderate something like this.

Perhaps give faction officers a new button to *faction mute* people until you turn it off.

Discuss? ^^

There once a time when I cared about getting to the top quickly as possible to help others. Now, I take it slow, and don't worry about having nothing to do. There's always something to do in an MMORPG, especially if you are high level. PK'ing is for those who desire to inflate their egos. True friendship comes from helping one-another, rather than to start rivalries.

Don't see how this promotes healthy relationships in factions.. but it would be a nice feature to have nonetheless.

I hear black listing people normally makes it easy to ignore people...

It saves the tedious task of pressing "kick from faction". :D

On topic: No seriously, I think this idea is good, but a lot of faction mates won't be happy about it if it was done to them. It's a good idea for TW times where people spew random nonsense.
I call it how I see it.

I love that Faction Mute button. Marshals and Higher up should get it. But there should be a time limit so no one forgets to Unmute the muted. And if those people dont like being muted and leave... not that great of a loss anyhow, right?b:cute Faction mute isnt the same as blacklist, seeing as blacklist only works for one person. And blacklisting the person you're arguing with seems to be the very last thing ANY person does, tbh.

If it's a "Mute All" button, only leaders should have that ability, sorry.

aw, it's the first one I do.
I'm not wasting time arguing, I just BL the ****.
Only added 4 PPL in BL in more than 1 year since I play this game, so I'm kinda peacefull, but yeah, a Mute would be a nice addition.

It's an interesting idea...idk if I fully agree with it =/ I do admit it would be handy durring TW if you have some random person distracting everyone.

Or you could only promote people to Marshal and Director that you trust with that responsibility. b:victory

The true passive-aggressive way to show that you have no balls and are afraid to use the kick button. That is very, very sad.
I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.

Michael, if you kick someone for having a dramaful argument in guild chat once, then you are very very sad.

*Mute button* would be used to halt any drama in the faction at that time, instead of losing potentially valuable members. If they leave, they are not worth the effort.

I'm sure it would be abused.
Just think of the horns for example, the "lol i can annoy you" will work with this too. There would be a lot of joke mutes, etc.
And few will accept being shut up. They'd start raging on world chat, leaders will get many complaints in pm's.

If someone is being annoying it's more reasonable to try and talk to them about it and to kick if they don't understand.
Yes you'd lose a few players but on the long run others would have left because of those people. Childish nonsense in faction chat is the reason of many departures.

    I agree ^^

Recently there have been many players in my faction that I would have prefered if I could mute, as they were low lvls and causing everyone grief we just kicked them in the end, after they caused higher lvl ppl to leave. If they come back promising no drama then accept them back in, if not, don't. It's your choice really, but I think muting would cause more trouble than its worth. Just kick them, if they want 2 come bak, let them. Much easier and would cause less drama in the long run
