Hey are chest of coins ever going to be worth anything again?
Because of the price of gold and the hammer needed to open the chest
They've basically become useless. Maybe we could have an event where you
can trade them in for something like a prize?

    Should make an NPC open them for a fee and contain 5-10 tokens of luck rather than 1mil ... coin sink FTW

    Yup.

    TBH I wouldnt mind that as " compensation " for the lower DQ prices. Atleast everyone could benefit from it.

    lol, guys, come on.
    That's a fail safe for PWI: Gold cannot go lower than 200k as long as those boxes are ingame.
    Anything else is just blah-blah I'm sure no one will listen to at PWE.

    Since hammers prices will never go down, they will have to do soemthing else... Perhaps making them worth a gold each....

    Yeah, well there was someone actually buying them sometime around xmas. I sold close to 100 of them for 50k ea. lol Other than that, I would sell them if someone would actually buy them.

    My theory: Thyey server as a buffer to ensure Gold Prices never drop below 200k, in case they, ya know, stop selling packs b:shocked

    They should just rename them and make them tradeable for rep, like 5-20 rep per chest or so.

    I got around 120 of them. Rotting on alt and waiting for their time to shine. How could I get rid of items which theoretically are worth 120mil in summary? I better turn them into some kind of collection.
    I really like idea of them being tradable for some reward or reputation for a small fee.

    Btw, whats the max you can stack them?

    Someone who buy it,has just lost 5mill (100 box) and 200mill (100 hammer)

Perfect iron hammers will be 80% off in the cash shop....which means they can be acquired for the low low price of ONE gold each! Hurry and stock up now before time runs out!

    Gold prices immediately shoot up to 1m each....QQ

    Oh yeah basically the only purpose these chests serve is to create a price floor for the gold price...there are so many of them out there atm that gold will never fall below the minimum price to acquire a hammer to open the chest. And if such a sale as above ever happened, people who have hundreds of chests would immediately try and get gold to make profit...thus instantaneously raising the price of gold.

    Here is a few ideas to make them useful:

    1. Make an NPC that can open them for 900k each. This means each one is worth 100k, but still acomplishes the gold thing they're going after.

    2. Instead of containing 1mil cash, have each one be equivlant to the contents of 6 packs, or be a super pack. Giving you 90 tokens of luck or a higher chance of containing something cool. Possibly even other things from other packs, such as unique mounts.

    3. Similar idea to above, only give them a slight chance of containing FCGold items or a chance of containing an item called "Power of the Frost" (or something). This item could be used, in combination with ultimate orbs to turn green FC gear into gold FC gear.

    PW-CN not long time ago, modified the reward of cube of fate, removing the chance to get chest of coins on the reward.

    Good news, at last they decide to remove it.
    Which freed us from 200k coin / gold bound.
    The problem is even with chest of coin removed, we will not see gold price go back bellow 200k.
