Vit vs Str

okay okay..i know its kind of a stupid question..everyone knows vit makes a barb great..but seriously, at end game what do barbs have more of..vit or str?

    IT all depends, that's a pretty vague question...if you're a tank build or pvp build, what your end game weapon is so you can stat (or re-stat) to it...your personal choice. Not everyone follows the cookie cutter builds, ya know?

    kk, the reason why i asked the question is because im doin 1 dex 3 vit and 6 str every 2 levels... str is only supposed to be armor and weapon req right? If i follow that to the point im gona have more str than i really need?

    I would think if you are more tank you have more vit and if pvp go for more str but still keep enough vit.

    okay so i calculated it. If i followed 1 dex 3 vit and 6 vit every 2 levels by lvl 44 i would hav 131 str 26 dex and 73 vit. I made my own point allocation and if i do 4 str 1 dex every odd levels and 4 vit and 1 str every even levels I would end up with 117 str 26 dex and 87 vit by lvl 44. Im not really sure if i would follow the way i made up..but what do you think?

    I prefer the hP and pdef (vit) in the lower levels like that but...I did find my damage annoying when I was lower as well. *shrugs* Personally I'd still tough it out with the vit and just squad with people to damage deal for ya

    lol rely i dont mind it..seeing a mob hit me and my life barely moving is enuf entertainment for me :) but what does every one think about 2.5 str and 2 vit every level rather than 3 str and 1.5 vit every level, does anybody see any faults with that?

    lmao yes yes vit ftw its just the weapon and armor requirements that bother me. What if i find myself not being able to use a weapon because of too little str

    Easy way to fix that, just know which weapons you plan on using.. find out the str requirement for it and plan in advance.

    Theres a chart around here somewhere listing the str requirements for the dual axes, which most barbs stat for.

    i think i know which one, but when i saw it i skipped it. Too many numbers make no sense to me XDD

    ok people..failures....just stick with the traditional tank build then later you will be getting into good awsome armor with more +vit to it,str..dex..whatever.If your SKILLS are up to par or maxed yes SKILLS and KNOWLEGE of your character and what DAMAGE it can do and how to move and handle a situation..you wil lsee how a pure tank can do to anyone in pvp.Only way u gonna beat a barb like that is pray he dont have awsome pots or a charm in a pvp situation.
    People say barbs have low damage out put..i fail to agree with that...most of ya just dont know how to time your skill properly in combo fashion to keep up the damage out put...%wise umm thats about 85% of pwi with their barbs ty...bye bye.

    hmm...first of all i dont do pvp.. and i dont appreciate u calling peeople failures. Do you think it is "cool". Well it is not. I have failed to grasp what u r saying bcause just the first sentence makes me know that if i knew you in real life you would hav disgusted me to the fullest. I mean..when the hell did this convo become about pvp o_o..

    Yes, you won't be able to equip level appropriate weapons.

    I'm tanker my build is pve: 2 str - 2,5 vit - 1 dex = every lvl.
    Is good for a tanker? I wanna tank its my build pve

    You won't be able to equip up-to-date axes since you'll lack str without a lot of +str equips

    well. I'm thinking than I won't equip armor from my lvl, but I'll compensate with HP.
    Cause I see that dont have much diference in pys. def.

    well... I changed my build.. now I'm = 2,5 str 2 vit 1 dex every level. I'll to use Heavy armor and dont use dual hamer from my lvl, cause I won't focus in atack, but yes in def and hp.
    what do you think? Am I doing the thing right?

    You'll want to be able to equip level appropriate weapons as you progress. Especially when you get to 60 and above. Some of the adds and procs on those weapons will help a tanker, but you won't be able to equip them if you don't have the correct stat points.

    And you need to focus on both attack and defense, otherwise you'll survive, but you will lose aggro so your squadmates won't survive instead.

    Indeed. Doesn't matter how much HP and Def you have if you don't do enough damage to keep agro.

    Until you get to FC anyways, cause then you won't be keeping agro anyways except bosses. Glorified puller ftw.

    Then of course 95+ if you're rich you can gear -interval gear and fists to perma demon spark tank. Doing that the calc says you end up putting most points into dex. Though of course they'll fix the interval gear so you won't be able to do this eventually. (I hope they fix it anyways).


    Generally 3 str, .5 dex/lvl for axes. So you can max vit at 1.5/lvl if you go axes.

    Early lvl I found it helpfull to boost my dex for increased damage, accuracy, and crit rate to grind/quest faster. Don't really start grouping till 40+ for BH, then 57+ for TT. Before that you're primarily solo so build it how you want it.

    I didn't say that I'm up with my gf, and I won't do quest solo, cause this I think in dont have much str,because I thought I'd keep aggro with my skills...

    Yes. But without enough damage output your skills won't do any good for you, except cost mp. (Secondary effect not counted)

    For example: at lvl40+ you'll start doing BH, and when you get to a high enough lvl-range, the DDs in the squad (wiz and c:o) will start to up their damage output INSANELY!!!b:shocked

    If a wiz, for example, crits 50k and you don't have enough damage output yourself, FR itself won't be enough to keep aggro unless they stop attacking so you can use a couple. And that will cost time so it'll be better to let the wiz tank (means you've just lost your job, unless you agreed that the wiz tanks at the start)

    And do note that some DDs will try their best to steal aggro from you, and our pride as uber-tanks can't let them do that. The best thing in this game is getting praise because they didn't manage to steal aggro (actually happened to me, some get angry, but you can't make everyone happy).

    And we're not even gonna talk about what'll happen if you lose aggro in TT.

    there a list go by that just use points for str and dex only rest to vit for a tank build
    sage barbs put more vit in like me demon like str more try to set yourself toward getting tt90 beacon axes good vit + crt plus refine your gear and weapon helps alot i have almost 18k hp in tiger with 9% crt my advise tank tiger form save repairs lvl up you r tiger skills right away human too is good but lower lvls tanking well be easier in tiger

    What I do to see where i am at with str is I go to the blacksmith and see what I need to make a barb weapon for the level I am approaching. This way I have the mats I need and can be sure I got the str needed to use the weapon once it's made. If you do this you will need your blacksmith skills levelled up as well. If not, I got weapons for sale!! So far, I am right on with what's been posted as far as what's needed for str and dex. I also follow there guidelines as well but like to make my weapons current with my lvl.
