armor def against poison help

hi i'm not so great at explaining.....i'll try my best to explain my question. Recently, i started aoe grinding against poison mobs. My armor has 1100 wood def or something like that, so if i have an armor that has 1700 wood def, would that help me def better against poison mobs?? coz i bought another amor yesterday, but the effect of it seems the same.     yes armor with higher wood defense should reduce the dmg you receive from poison. but when you wearing arcane armor you should naturally have high wood resistance. So it will take alot of extra defense for small amount of dmg to be reduced. So though it may be there, it can be rather hard to notice.

    I wouldn't really worry to much about guarding yourself from wood mobs right now if your just solo grinding. Wood mobs are where us clerics really really REALLY ownXD. Im not sure your level but when i go against wood mobs in my level range, they never take more than two shots before they hit the ground. And if they did manage to poison me in that time. Purify , wellspring and im 100% fine

    This, or also you can precast a few Ironhearts before attacking. It'll keep your HP reasonably filled till you purify the poison.

    first what is your actual resistance stat in your character sheet

    the formula for damage reduction is based on resistence and is

    (your resistence)/((your resistence)+(40*lvl)) where lvl is i believe the lvl of the attacker. so insert your lvl there and you get the damage reduction u have for mobs your level.

    so actually as I think was mentioned the more resistence you have the more you have to get to increase damage reduction by 1%

    I have about 8500 wood resistence buffed thats 72% damage reduction to mobs my lvl. to get one more percent reducition i have to get 476 more resistence in that stat

    yeah i think i forgot to mention i aoe grinding.....so an armor with 1200wood resis and an armor with 1700 wood resis wont' make much difference right???? that's what i wanna know haha
