What do you all think?
Are video games addicting?
Why do you play?
I would be thankful if you answered some of the questions posted on the video.
Thank You.

Post your thoughts and ideas.

    Yes, gaming is an addiction.

I play in the late evenings and at night to have something to do after I finish up my day. But, yea, I'm addicted too.

I'd answer the questions you asked in the video, but my hearing isn't real good and I couldn't understand a lot of what you were saying.

What I will do, and I hope I answer some of your questions with this, is list what I have noticed to be the top sign's of a "severe" addiction.

Here goes: (and everyone feel free to add your own thoughts here)

    • -First and most importantly, how much you spend on a game or games.
    • -Your gaming attitude (elitist and such)
    • -Do you prefer playing a game over being with a friend? Yes is a bad answer.
    • -Depriving yourself of sleep to play.
    • -Letting more important life activities (chores, school work, etc) go so you can play.
    • -The never ending search for something "new" to play.

I'm sure there's more, but that's a start. Meeting just one of those is bad... I meet two. b:cry
There's no such thing as a "Perfect World" full of Jade, diamonds, gold, and other riches and treasures. There is only an imperfect world, with an imperfect society, full of imperfect people, with imperfect idea's about how to be perfectly rich and perfectly perfect. No one cares about being perfectly kind, perfectly fair, or perfectly content.
    It's a perfectly sad world.

But the more important question is, what is better being addicted to video games or drugs. The point is there are alot worse tings you can be addicted to.

Here's a professional explanation of video game addiction.

And no, it's not life threatening like drugs or alcoholism, but it can be detrimental to ones overall well-being if their addiction is severe enough.
