Fashion Color help.

The first image is the color that I want. The second image is what appears to be color red
but turn out darker than I want it to be.

Anyone got a picture with clothes dyed with red dye? Preferably on males.

    I don't have any pics to show you, but from what I know of, the one on the left is either violet red or red. The one on the right looks more like orange imo. If you're going to dye it, I'd suggest choosing violet red : ) it's still a nice shade and cheaper than pure red. Pure red can go for 1m each x.x

    The red dress, was it dyed red or did it turn out red when whoever bought it out of the boutique?

    I'm pretty sure it was dyed red. That person dyed that one outfit every colour she could, just to show people the colour range. But it can differ depending on each outfit. Some turn out brighter or darker than others despite using the same dye. Probably because of the outfit's texture :s

    Even using the same exact dye on different texture could yield a different shade.

    Take a look at Shyriena's Ultimate Color Guide, but keep in mind the comment that different textures can alter the apparent color to some degree. Her guide is strictly for colors that you dye with color packs... Random Dyes (which includes the mehtod for color selection straight from Boutique) can have other color shades than what are available from buy-able dyes (i.e., you have to get lucky to get them as you can't buy them as a dye, but could repeatedly burn Random Dyes to try and get one of the off-shades).

    Random color outcomes are given in Jane's Guide (also see Aerlic's post on the PWI forums here).
