Ok.....I assume someone has tried it but I was thinking what about magic shards instead of physical attack shards? I already have good power against squishies but if I understand things correctly they get multiplied so the shard amount would add a decent amount of magic attack to my totals? Just trying to find a way of being a bit more deadly when it comes to those wearing HA?

    Your metal skills get their damage from your P Attack
    Adding magic shards will do absolutely nothing for you.
    Your metal skills will actually be weaker.

    Edit: And to answer your question about Multiplying..
    the multiplication depends on your total stats.. for example, the more magic you have, the more magic multiplication you get... the more strength you have, the more melee p attack multiplication you get... the more dex you have the more p attack multiplication with bows and daggers you get. So no, adding magic shards when you have added no magic would not multiply it decently... It would be pretty close to whatever m attack the shard actually adds.

    ok...that is true. I was just wondering if it would add my normal damage. Now when I read my skill description it says that its a percentage of my physical attack plus (blank) metal damage.....but here is my question don't barbs and BM negate the physical part of that attack anyways?

    Metal attacks hit as metal damage.

    Admante answered it. Metal skills hit as Metal damage. PURE Metal Magical damage. Although it gets its base damage from your P Attack, there is no Physical damage within that hit.

    lol...i bow down and admit I am wrong. I was thinking damn I need to argue this but I misread it. I thought it said that the skill did physical damage plus blank metal damage....its all metal:D

    So no shard with anything but physical attack.....and just use metal skills when dealing with HA:D

    Yes. And this is why archers are so amazing in PvP
    Other than clerics and us, there is no other class that can switch back and forth as they please with physical and magical hits and land hard hits on anybody, whether theyre heavy armor, light armor, or robed :)
