In that case, I'm going to need some more information from you about your computer.

Find out what the model number for your PC is. Check the documentation that came with your PC, or look on the back or bottom of your PC for the model Number.

Please tell us the manufacturer's name of your system too! (Like HP, Dell, Toshiba, etc.)

Next, go to Start, click on Run (or Search if using Vista/7), and type in dxdiag and press enter.

Click on the Display tab, and then post here everything in the Device, Drivers, and DirectX Features boxes:
    DxDiagRequest.JPG

    Thanks!

Unfortunately, I'm afraid it is your system. Specifically your video chipset, which actually falls below the minimum system requirements to play the game.

Try turning down your video settings through the launcher and see if that makes a difference.

I'm having this same issue since the update last night. I'll login to my account, select a character, and after the loading screen, I am booted out to the desktop. My account works on other desktops in the house.

    System Information
Time of this report: 5/19/2010, 11:43:34
    Machine name: DANIEL-PC
    Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_gdr.100226-1909)
    Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
    System Model: GA-MA785GM-US2H
    BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
    Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X2 545 Processor (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
    Memory: 6144MB RAM
    Available OS Memory: 5630MB RAM
Page File: 2647MB used, 19872MB available
    Windows Dir: C:\Windows
    DirectX Version: DirectX 11
    DX Setup Parameters: Not found
User DPI Setting: Using System DPI
System DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent)
    DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled
    DxDiag Version: 6.01.7600.16385 64bit Unicode

    DxDiag Notes
Display Tab 1: No problems found.
Sound Tab 1: No problems found.
Sound Tab 2: No problems found.
Sound Tab 3: No problems found.
    Input Tab: No problems found.

I've followed the troubleshoot page linked to earlier in this thread with no luck. The 'W' trick didn't work, and I didn't expect it to, considering I can log in on another computer. Changing resolutions, and whether or not I'm running windowed or standard, didn't help one lick. Nor did toggling off all the settings on the left.

As a side note, this patch really bites, according to my brother-in-law. There's a lot of text that got UNtranslated.

Try posting more of your dxdiag down past the Sound Devices pretty please.
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?
