How do I add stars to equipment?

How do I get a one-star piece of equipment up to two stars? What do I have to get to do this?

    The only ways to get 2 and 3 star equipment is to:

    1) Receive them as quest rewards,
    2) Have them drop from FB bosses (3 stars), or
    3) Manufacture them (random chance of making a 2 or 3 star item)

    I think it all depends on your crafting lvl and rep.

    It's random wether you've crafted tons of stuff or not =)

    Can't ordinary enemies drop them too, just very rarely?

    Mobs drop 1 and 2 stars 3 is from crafting

    Boss mobs drop 3*s. Never saw a 2* from anything other than a quest reward or manufacturing.

    its very rare actually that a mob drops a two star, ive seen it happen a few times

    anyone know the chance of manufacturing a 3*?
    would rly like to know so i can get the nessiary # of mats and go crazy

    when lvling my tailor skill to lvl 3 i crafted a total of 10 items and got 1 3* item...
    But this was the 2nd one i got after carfting from lvl 1 - 3 on some of my other skills.

    So I crafted:
    20X from 1 - 3 for blacksmith
    20X from 1 - 3 for tailor
    12X from 1 - 2.2 for craftsman
    14X from 1 - 2.4 for apothecary

    So total I crafted 66X and got 2 3* items. Did not write down if they were from lvl 1 or 2 skill.

    So my chances are I have to craft 33X before getting a 3* item.
