Ok. I recently figured out the cause of all my problems on the laptop i recently got.

It has no Driver CD, or drivers for that fact. So I was wondering if somebody could provide a link to a company (online or in-store) that would be able to sell drivers for a dell inspiron 5160 laptop.

Surtr: If you read this, you should remember the last thread I posted in the Technical Support Zone about it ^.^

Aadi: Yep. That was what I thought the problem was at first. But turned out to be wrong :/

Fgaetgwet: Nope. I got it from a roommate for free since he couldn't use it, and had no clue how to fix it up.

So I spent 7 hrs cleaning, fixing, and setting it up. Now I found out it had no drivers.....

Also, i've already googled searched "Dell Inspiron 5160 laptop Drivers" but couldn't find anything :(

Wait, what? Buying drivers? Am I thinking of the same drivers as you?

The only type of drivers that you need to buy that Im aware of are chauffeurs.

Lloyd: It said I had no drivers when me ran diagnostic scan on whole computer. Me assuming it meant graphic card, since me has sound (though crappy), and other things ._.

Just let your computer do the work. Search for the program: "device manager". Find some old looking drivers (video card's drivers often need updating) and select "update driver software". Set it to automatically search, and it will be done.

Or... you can follow aadi's link.

The only way you buy drivers is that if a qualified Tech in a computer store dls them and installs them. What drivers are you missing?I would be carefull when it comes to the bios.

Whenever my drivers are out of date, I usually just go straight through my computer, but it tells me that I need updates so I wasn't sure how to go about it through the computer. b:chuckle

Dell's website has all of the Dell drivers available for free download. You should never have to pay for drivers for anything.
