Mass Letter System for Faction Leaders

Simple, give faction leader the ability to send out mass letters to everyone in the faction.

I had the idea after someone from my faction mentioning that they weren't aware of a new rule that was in place; I'm currently in a level 3 TW faction that includes over 180 players, and it's hard to send out an announcement that everyone would get.

This would be an easy way for leaders to pass out new information to their members both online and offline; if a player is offline, they'd surely notice the mail icon and check this out. The ability to send out items/coins via this method isn't necessary, just text messages will suffice.

I realize that there is the Slogan function; but there is no way to notify a member if that member is offline. Also, the slogan has an awful short character limit, and it isn't so useful as a notification tool when more permanent information such as website url/vent info has to be there.

As far as spam goes, this would be limited to the leader + director, I think Marshals/Execs would get too much kick out of spamming everyone with useless stuff. Also maybe limit this to a level 2 or 3 faction? Although, I don't think spam would be a big issue; players can always leave a faction is their leader is that annoying.

(Actually now that I think about it, my current Leader would enjoy spamming too... maybe this should only be for the Director... Jks Pete)

    I like this idea but for friends list too , as mass message or just make a status in case ur searching members for a squad not to ask again and again same question to all from ur list, they just see ur status and pm u :)

    Agree this would be a great idea. Extending the announcement section would be nice too, there's never enough space for a decent announcement (particularly if you don't use txtspk).
