The Way of the Assassin
Ways to kill any target, no matter what the Size

Some Assassins are ruthless predators, who've developed a taste for blood and thrill at the act of killing, while others are grim professionals, bringing a kind of honor even to the direst of professions. However they approach their profession, every Assassin must be able to do three things:
1: Get close to their target.
2: Kill them quickly.
3: Escape uncaught.

The ease with which an Assassin performs the first and third tasks marks the difference between an amateur and an artist.
In any battle, the mightiest weapon is one that strikes unseen. If history has taught anything to the peoples of Pan Gu, it's best lesson is that anyone can be killed, if the killer tries hard enough.
Patience and time will do more than strength and fury.
What use is the strongest steel armor against the poison lurking in a cup of wine? A Warrior or Wizard may be invincible in open battle, with their foes before them, but even they must sleep sometime, and cannot parry the knife that comes from behind. In these days since the Wraiths, death has lost its permanence but not its sting: though the Champion of a guild may only stay dead a few moments after he tastes an Assassin's blade, his absence may well turn the tide of a Guildwar.
The techniques here will aid you in your endeavors. Use them wisely and guide your blades with precision rather than power.

We'll begin with the most difficult and work our way to the less challenging classes and armor types. First though, we'll take a quick look at the two main focuses of an assassin's strike.

Focus one: Hard and Fast. (Do Not have Chill of the Deep on)
Deaden Nerves> Focus Mind or Tidal Protection> Wolf Emblem> Spark > Inner Harmony > Power Dash > Regular Hits.
With this method you have about 8 seconds to do the job. at the end of that 8 seconds you will have two choices: Finish or Flee
If you choose Finish: Hit them with the hardest hitting skill you have left that isn't in cooldown. and prey to god it's enough to finish them off.
If you should choose Flee:. Shadow Escape or just plain haul your ****.

Focus Two: Extreame Force and Silence "Sinlock" (Do have Chill of the Deep on)
Deaden Nerves> Focus Mind or Tidal Protection> Wolf Emblem> Spark > Inner Harmony > Headhunt > Tackling Slash > Throatcut> Rising Dragon Strike> Deep Sting > Shadow Escape.
It is best to make a macro with Headhunt through Shadow Escape in it. This gives you an out while the target is still asleep or dead and his friends are coming. Also, you will have one spark from escaping.

Barbarian: King of the Beasts
Agressive, Powerful, and Tough as Hell

.....Even the strongest of the Wraith army have felt the bite of this beast. When among allies in a fight against them, he is their pick to stand on the frontline because he is indeed the ultimate survivor and more of a man than any human warrior; although, he is'nt human at all. He walks as a man does, but can return to his truest natural form as he wishes: The Great White Tiger, excelling above the rest in health and endurance. The choice of weapon is most always Axes, though every now and then you see one carry a Hammer. Both are deadly and take great strength to carry, much less wield them as a weapon.
.....This creature can be very difficult to kill. Best to have a genie ready that is pure Strength with at least Tangling Mire and Extreame Poison on it. Infliction does best.
.....If the beast is in True Form it will be the most difficult. If you have a well made dagger (+8 to 10) and you're full dex you may try Sinlock, but fast hard hits under the genie debuff and amplify will yield best results. If you begin to get Fleshreamed you're toast ... this is a well knowledged barb ... RUN.
.....If he is in standing form. You have a good chance. The first attack he will most likely use is Mighty Swing which will most likely stun you. It will always at least hit you, and it's going to hurt. Focus mind can protect against the damage. Tidal Protection has a chance to keep you unstunned but Maze Steps just before the Power Dash will always protect you against the Stun so you may adjust this a little depending on the situation. Always remember one thing; Assassins are not warriors, they're specialists. We are built for single target attacks. When others come to the targets aid it is time to finish quickly or leave, or else you die.

Key Points about Barbarians:
~ They are far more resistant to Physical Damage in True Form and have much more Life.
~ The most deadly skill they have against you is Fleshream. Though most dont know to use it on you. A good one will. It's commonly used in PvE situations to gain control of a target, forcing it to attack only them and in effect mitigating the damage allies take; thus, some don't think to use it in PvP situations. Lucky for you b:laugh
~ They have two skills that have 100% accuracy and that is Fleshream and Mighty Swing.
~ They are inaccurate and will miss you much when they dont buff themselves with a self-only buff they get to increase accuracy called Bloodbath. It's very effective at two things:
1: Increasing their accuracy. 2: Getting them killed.
It trades some well depended on life for the effect.
Satisfying Moment:IF the barb your fighting has Bloodbath on he will have less HP. If he has it on and Armas you and still misses... laugh at him as you send him to the nearest safezone. b:laugh

Most Deadly Skills:
~ Fleshream (Tiger form) : 100% Accurate + Large, Nasty Bleed Damage-over-Time that Stacks.
~ Armageddon (Stand-Up Form) :The Anger of the Beast Massive Area of Effect (AoE) Nuke that trades half of the barbarian's HP for 4 times that amount in damage. Also reffered to with its nickname "Arma". Cool skill, epic animation, and IF it hits you it's gonna kill you unless Deaden or Focus saves your tail-fin. Fortunately for us these guys aren't very accurate, so your odds are good it will miss.
~ Mighty Swing (Stand-Up Form) : 100% Accurate + Stun (Painful)
~ Beastial Onslaught (Stand-Up Form) : A hard-hitter that decreases your evasion making you easier to hit.

Blademaster: The Fearless Warrior
Leaders of many victorious battles for Pan Gu

.....A most intelligent of warriors, blademasters have the skills to wield many melee weapons.
These can be tricky. Damage is good nomatter what weapon they use.
Axes are most painful and warrant the most stuns and AoEs for the wielder.
Swords and Blades are more accurate, and give the bearer an ability to make you weak.
Poleblades are a mix of damage, bleeds, and range. Some feel this is the most dangerous 1vs1 path.
Claws and Fists are equivilent to your daggers. They are most accurate of the other paths. but not usually as accurate as you. Their attack speed is fastest of any other, even you.
Note: The same Genie that aided you in killing your last barbarian is qualified for this task also.
.....Axe paths will be more like Barbarians. When they have both their physical defense buffs on they will be much harder to kill. When any blademaster is building chi, he will be using his buffs to do so. Theres one that looks like a white cone and one that looks like a red circle. Time him and strike with pure assault Sinlock as soon as you see the white cone. He is weakest at this moment to physical damage because that skill trades his physical defence for magical defence. Opposite to that, if you have a genie with Bramble Rage, Subsea him and hit him with that as soon as you see him cast the red circle. Have Wolf Emblem on for either situation as it will also amplify a Bramble Rage critical hit. Hard and Fast can work but it is best to use Maze Steps before you strike as to avoid stuns. Also it is best to keep your distance from these warriors until you are ready to strike because they have many Area of Effect skills that will reveal you from stealth.
Key Points about Blademasters:
~ They Stun, They Hurt, They CAN be more accurate than you and also more evasive.
~ They are usually inaccurate when wielding axes. This is not always the case so it can be best to use Focus Mind. If you can stand to take a little damage, Tidal Protection really shines here because of the stun protection.
~ They can Stunlock you as good as you can them and can do it longer than you can.
~ They have less HP than barbarians but can easily have more physical defence. You would prefer they had more HP than to attack one fully buffed for physical.
Most Deadly Skills:
~ Roar of the Pride (All Paths): AoE stun that will reveal you from stealth and leave you there stunned and helpless.
~ Heavens Flame (Axe Path): The Legendary Blademaster's Red Dragons. This popular favorite will take your resistances away and cause you take 90-100% of all damage recieved within the next 8 seconds. This can miss. If it doesn't a genie Bramble Rage will most likely follow it and you're toast. Cool way to go tho, very epic looking skill. xD
~ Myriad Sword Stance (Blade and Sword Path) : Makes your attacks and defence very weak like you have all NPC armor and weapon on thats 20 levels lower xD. Skill looks like a short version of the Archer's Barrage of Arrows just not near as epic lol. Only the swordsman has a 100% accurate skill that will always hit you. (This can change when the warrior achieves level 100 and can learn a non weapon-specific skill called Flash which is also 100% accurate.)
~ Alter Marrow Physical ("Red Circle" Animation): Trades Magic Defence for Physical Defence and Stacks with their main buff for Physical Defence - Aura of the Golden Bell

Venomancer: Beauty and Beast
Queen of Poisons and Curses, Seductress of the Wraiths.

This is a most formitable opponent, and so is her friend.
When a venomancer has summoned her pet the odds become 2:1

.....The venomancer commands the Wood element. This makes her very dangerous giving her the ability to weaken her targets with strong poisons and curses; thus, very deady to even the strongest of warriors. Her seduction is capable of rendering Wraith beasts into her service, then training them to fight against her enemys. Similar to her Untamed brothers, she can also change to the form of an animal: a small red fox. By no means is this creature to be considered an easy target should you encounter one.
.....The pet is commanded by its master and will do its bidding only. If the sorceress is experienced, she will have her pet trained to defend her in the event she is attacked. Always expect this, though it is possible the pet is commanded to only do as it is told, when it is told. You will know for certian which this is once you strike.
.....There's no wrong way to eat a Reese's with this situation. Lead with Sinlock if she is wearing Arcane Robes. If she is wearing light armor, judge the quality before buffing yourself with Chill of the Deep. You may need to Power Dash after Headhunt. The pet will not attack you if you keep the master stunned provided it is trained for command only. If it is trained to think on it's own, and is loyal, it will be on it's way to you as soon as you touch her. Kill the master and the pet will flee. If the master is in the form of a Fox, she is far more resistant to physical damage, but cannot directly attack you with magic. The pet can attack you and she can melee attack and curse your soul making damage worse for you. A sickened assassin will not be at his best to fight. RUN !

Key Points about Venomancers:
~ They wear arcane or light armor and even heavy armor in rare cases.
~ Never underestimate their pet.
~ They have many Damage-over-Time spells and Curses.
~ In Fox Form they are very tough to kill, especially when wearing light armor or a mix of heavy and arcane.
~ A good Venomancer will run around in Fox Form and jump much if she suspects an assassin is near. Resist the urge to attack this woman. If you insist you must time her perfectly so that you catch her on the ground within your reach.
Most Deadly Skills (Pets):
~ Fleshream: This is much like the bite of a barbarian. The legendary Pheonix delivers the worst. it will be the first skill your hit with if the pet has been taught it. Sage or Demon Spark will stop the wound from bleeding and the pet will not be as much of a problem. A genie skill called Cauterize will also.
~ Pounce: Stuns and increases pets attack rate. Sucks to be stunned and then gangbanged by both the pet and the master.
Most Deadly Skills (Master):
~ Purge (Fox Form): Takes away All of your positive buffs Instantly.
~ Lucky Scarab (Human Form): Wood damage with a 95% chance to stun you for 2 seconds.
~ Noxious Gas (Human Form): Massive wood damage with an added wood Damage-over-Time.
~ Bramble: A buff that can be given to friends also. Reflects 60 - 75% of all melee attack damage. Lasts 15 - 30 minutes (Painful - watch for it on otherrs also, you can kill yourself with an epic headhunt crit lol)
~ Bramble Hood: When a Venomancer has this buff on her, the first attack she recieves from you will be reduced by 75%. Not so bad eh? Wrong. The attack you just dealt her has been multiplied by twice the damage and returned to you. You will most likely kill yourself. Watch out for this buff being on your target before attacking.

Cleric: The Elven Priest
The Light in Your Darkest Hour... or the Reason for It!

.....May grace be with the one that engages against a well prepared Priest for the power of God and the Elves are against you. They have the ability to call the dead back to life, and the power to easily send them back again. They are usually peaceful creatures by nature and are irreplacible assets in a team. Should you so happen to anger one, get somewhere far away in a hurry, or work swiftly to calm the situation.
.....Clerics wield enough healing power to support a squad and therefore more than enough to heal themselves. They can bring the pain if provoked in the form of physical and metal elemental damage. Clerics possess a most dangerous sleep spell. As casters, they aren't usually the fastest with their spells but when they finish casting them, the damage rivals some of the best Wizards and Archers.
.....Lead with Sinlock on arcanes. If you encounter a strong cleric or a cleric in light armor, it is essential to use Maze Steps or Tidal Protection in the first few moments of the fight. A cleric's sleep spell can keep you standing there powerless as they kill all of your allies... and then turn to you. The length of the sleep is indefinate as it can be renewed almost immediatly after you awaken, so be ready. Focus Mind might save you but Deaden Nerves is your best friend here. The attack that will come will be of great force and your evasion is powerless against magic. Shadow Escape as soon as you're hit and recover. If you choose to try a second attempt, strike immediatly before they start self healing. Hard and Fast is good if they have already been self healing. A good Power Dash from a sharp dagger can overpower the massive heal-over-time, especially if you can spark beforehand.
.....These elves also have many buffs that need to be taken into account when the appearence of weakness encourages you to strike, the main one important to you can give them 60% extra physical defence. When a cleric enchants their armor with jewels of garnet, this buff makes a difference.
Key Points about Clerics:
~ Most wear arcane robes and are weak to your attack.
~ They are more defensive than most that wear arcane robes.
~ Flexibility to use physical or metal elemental magic against you.
~ A successful Sinlock will most likely always kill one in the first 1-3 hits.
Most Dangerous Skills:
~ Chromatic Seal : 36 - 40 seconds naptime . Nite nite ^_^
~ Silent Seal: 17- 20 seconds frozen in place. Keep an archer's bow handy.
~ Tempest: The Wrath of the Elven Priest. Metal Area-of-Effect nuke: It will kill you and most everyone around you, unless you have Deaden Nerves on or Focus Mind evades the damage.
~ Wield Thunder: A dangerous ranged metal elemental attack.
~ Plume Shot: A powerful ranged physical attack that is based on the cleric's magic attack power. It never misses because it is a magic spell.
~ Ironheart Blessing: Massive Heal-over-Time that stacks and can make it very hard to overpower with damage. It lasts 15 seconds after the last time it is cast.
~ Plume Shell: Absorbs 80 - 85% of all incoming physical damage for a short period of time.

Psychic: The Reason for the Voices
The one that knows you're here, and knew you were coming.

.....Your fellow tideborns, psychics are among the best killers of our race. As a magic users, they're one of the fastest spellcasters and close to wizards in terms of overall damage. They are knowledgeable in the art of black magic as well as white magic making them very dangerous and very resilient. They have an AoE heal-over-time that is a good support spell in groups but not that effective in solo combat. The most important things to remember when planning a hit on a psychic is their preparedness level with their buffs, and their ability to confuse your psyche; thus, making you attack yourself !
.....Psychics have what is known as a Soulforce, a separate source from their damage that can effect you in several ways. There are times to attack, and times not to attack a psychic. Most all psychics wear arcane robes because of a bonus it gives to their Soulforce.
.....It will be difficult to see into a psychic and determine your odds against them. Waiting for the right moment when you see none or possibly only one buff on their name will make all the difference between failure and success. Lead with Sinlock but only if the timing is flawless. Headhunt will usually do it alone; however, just as a venomancer can return your attack to you, a psychic will do the same and also return your stun. Any failed attack on a psychic will most likely result in your death ! Psychics have the power to significally reduce your recovery ablility.

Key Points about Psychics:
~ Squishy, easy to kill them IF you wait for the right moment.
~ Possess the ability to possess YOU! Making you take damage equal to their soulforce every time you attack them or anyone else.
~ Can reduce the effectiveness of YOUR healing potions and guardian charm AND any cleric, wizard, or psychic healing spells cast on you.
~ Can sense your presence even when they cannot see you; thus, silencing, stunning, or damaging you without moving upon your attack!
~ When prepared, have the best chance at countering against a sneak attack from an inexperienced assassin.
~ Can temporarily become immune to physical damage entirely.
~ Can alter their soul using Black Voodoo or White Voodoo to either be extreamly offensive or defensive.
Most Dangerous Skills:
~ Soul of Stunning: Stuns the attacker upon being attacked.
~ Soul of Silence: Silences (Seals) the attacker upon being attacked.
~ Soul of Vengence: Reflects some of the damage taken every hit at the cost of the psychic's mana. Can be given to a friend but only one at a time.
~ Soul of Retalliation: Reflests an amount of damage equal to half the psychic's Soulforce upon an attack and reduces the damage taken by the same amount.
~ Diminish Vigor: Increases the cooldown time of your charm ticks !!! This Sucks D: and also reduces the effectiveness of potions, remedies, and the heals from your friend clerics, wizards, or other psychics.
~ Soulburn: A curse that plagues you with a damage equal to the psychic's soulforce every time you strike any target for a short period of time. (Stop attacking when this is on you)

Wizard: The Commander of the Elements
The reason barbarians and warriors wear magic ornaments.

.....None other can bring mass epic damage like a wise wizard. A sorceror without a staff can still make fast work of foes. Weak to physical damage, they usually rely on cunning and intelligence in battle. They possess the power to teleport as you do but without a target, making them very evasive. This sorceror can speak a soft whisper to you that will put you to sleep as a Cleric can , but not nearly as long, and can silence you making it possible to run but not attack. Most Wizard spells have something else besides damage with them but all of them are deadly.
.....Sinlock a wizard as you would a Psychic but dont worry about buffs. There is one exception to this rule and that is a wizard in light armor. They are much tougher with Stone Barrier shields. These will be 3 Gold Shields that encircle them. A wizard in arcane robes is more defensive with them also; however, the ones wearing light armor are the worst for you.
Key Points about Wizards:
~ A surprise attack with maximum force will be the best. There's rarely ever a second chance with a Wizard.
~ Arcane robe or light armor builds exist in equality.
~ Tackling Slash will not stop them from teleporting away from you!
~ They wield the most damage in the game of any other class.
~ Stone Barrier increases their physical resistance 100 - 150% (Sages 120% Demons 150%)
Most Dangerous Wizard Skills:
~ Anything you get hit with.
~ Black Ice Dragon Strike (Water): The Legendary Wizard's Blue Dragon Wizard kills you with a big blue dragon (If your gonna get owned by a Wizard ... at least this is the coolest looking way b:laugh It's also the hardest hitting skill in the game. Feel honored Oh fallen comrade.) Even more epic you say?? Get tagteamed by a Blademaster using Heavens Flame and a Wizard using this. O_o *hides*
~ Mountian's Sieze (Earth): Wizard kills you with a big rock. If you live you're now probably stunned.
~ Pyro Tempest (Fire and Physical): Wizard kills you with big firey brimstone storm from hell.
~ Sandstorm (Earth): Hurts and decreases your accuracy significantly. (Worst when against a light armor wearer)
~ Force of Will : Seals you making you unable to attack
~ Soporific Whisper: Sleeps you for 4 seconds.

And Lastly, You guessed it....

Archer: The Elven Ranger
The chosen guardians of the elves, The ranged assassin equivilent.

.....Equals to us in skill, damage-per-second (DPS), accuracy, and evasion. They are the chosen guardians of Plume City and have the capability of being the dealer of the highest possible physical damage. Archers have the ability to attack with additional fire, wood, and water elemental damage from dressing their arrowheads with poison, frost, or flames. They have the ability to deal pure metal elemental damage based on physical attack damage. Their weakness is they can only do half as much physical damage at close range. They only wear light armor and can have more evasion than you because of their buff. A good archer can hit you with a few skills up close that hurt almost as bad as if you were to taste one of their long range arrows. Until we surfaced south of Dreamweaver Port, the Elven Archer was without peer. Where they come in last on the list depends solely on the calibre of Assassin that attacks them.
.....A must is to keep them stationary and stay close to them. With one hand stab and the other hold them still while you kill them. The damage of these ranged weapons is higher than any other kind. If an archer gets at full range from you, there is no hope for you. You cannot run far enough to escape an arrow's range, nor fast enough to out run it's flight. Sinlock is best but if you're going against a well equipped scout it will not be enough. Use Tackling Slash as much as possible and when they try to run away Shadow Teleport to them.
Satisfying Moment:If they equipp claws they will be close to an Assassin that is 20 - 30 levels lower in damage and unable to use any of their archer skills. Own this n00b. Send him packing back to Plume to repair his bow, after he removes it from where you shoved it. b:laugh
Key Points About Archers:
~ Easy to kill if you know how to fight one, Keep them close. Best safety is to carry an accuracy potion.
~ They wield the most painful of weapons in Pan Gu. Bows, Crossbows, and Slingshots, of which only Bows can be used by a non-archer.
~ The damage is double your daggers when the archer is at range from you, about the same when close.
~ The attack speed is about half of daggers.
~ Their critical hit rate is not capable of reaching what your's can, but it's pretty darn good.
~ Their critical hit damage to them is 30 - 40% less than your critical hits are to you. Respectively
~ Every arrow from their quiver will be ignited adding another 40 - 70% in Fire elemental damage to a regular hit.
~ They can invoke the grace of the ancient Elves and strike you with metal elemental damage in the form of lightning. All archers' metal element attacks damage well at close range.
~ Their range is farthest of any other class by 10 meters. As you can strike unseen from the shadows, an Archer can do the same from a horizon far in the distance.
~ An archer can escape nearly as easily as you can.
Most Deadly Skills:
~ Thunder Shock: Ranged skill that does damage equal to their base physical damage plus a little. The damage you recieve is pure metal damage. It will also make you 50% less resistant to following metal attacks for 15 seconds.
~ Lightning Strike / Thunderous Blast / Stormrage Eagleon: All metal attacks based from physical damage power with one including a large metal element Damage-over-Time.
~ Wingspan and Winged Pledge: Close Range Physical Damage Skills. One is an Area of Effect that can reveal you from stealth if you're too close.
~ Sharpened Tooth Arrow: The Archer's Signature Reduces your HP by 16 - 20% for 30 seconds.

Assassins:
Step 1: Get to max level first.
Step 2: When you get there.. Get your gear +12 before another assassin gets there.
Step 3: When another Assassin gets there, Make friends with them.
Repeat Step 3 as needed.

The Techniques here will assist you in your hits. It is up to each Assassin to add the "Flare" factor to their kill. So adjust as you each see fit. There will be one way to kill every target; as snowflakes, none are ever the same.
When the time comes to choose your destiny: Sages will hit more true and powerful than Demons. Demons will have more luck than sages and some kills will be very easy, others not so much. . A Pure Dex will be a better Assassin than a Hybrid. Every Assassin skill has a purpose, and all work well.

I love it! Not to say I agree with every single point you make about the other classes, but in terms of eloquence and informative quality, this is a great post.

Archers have many powerful attacks . Fortunately the most powerful of those are at a range we try to avoid b:laugh . I truely do apologize for not including them at the time I posted.
