Glacial Walker is the best pet for all around land situations, for questing/grinding dark wanderers are pretty damn nice too, but theres also instances where the range of my eldergoth comes in handy, so overall, gw, but theres many pets for many different situations.

forgot to mention, those are best free pets, otherwise herc/nix

Read the stickied guides on builds and pay special attention to the sections on stat point distribution. Your mag needs to be 3x your level (63 at level 21). Your build is seriously messed up, enough so that it will take you at least 14 levels to fix it.

As frustrating as it is, I would suggest restarting with a new character. With your substantially sub-par mag (you can't even equip the trial pataka you get for finishing FB19), it will take you a lot longer to kill mobs, and you'll have to consume more mana pots to do it. If you continue with this character, it will take you longer and cost more to get to level 35 (when your mag score will finally reach 3x level) than if you just started over at level 1 with a proper build.

Read the stickies and make a new veno on the same account. Put any coin you've earned into the account stash (it can be used to trade coin without buying an account stash stone) so your new character has access to all that coin. As your new veno gets close in level to this one, you can mail any nice equipment you've managed to find.

hmm...i think glacial walkers or a baby hercule(u need 9999 sources of fource to make one at mrs zoologist in archosaur)whatever u need to buy 200 packs to get them from the boutique
Any statement of yours should I consider invalid unless you add ''turtle'' among your lines b:mischievous

Stick it out with your beginner pet later on get something decent that you like.I would suggest Dark Wonderer over a GW.

I would reroll your Veno instead of restating.
Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.

Maybe you could keep the veno even if it takes 14+ levels to fix the stat mess. After all, things aren't really interesting before lvl 30, so you're probably going to want to level up at least 10 more lvls anyway. The pets suggested above are good, you might consider getting a flying pet too though, since at some quests later on, you'll have to face flying mobs

I myself would recommend rerolling...although lvl 21 does take some time for the casual gamer... (don't quote me on this, I took 1 month to get to where I am b:sad)

    As for pets:

    First of all: http://pwi-wiki.perfectworld.com/index.php/Ultimate_Pet_Guide

Best pets: Nix for high-dmg (pvp, TW)
    Herc for tanking (pve)

If you had to choose between these 2, if you're the arcane-robe type that is pretty squishy, go for herc. If you're a semi-tanking foxform veno, go for nix. If you can't decide, go for herc b:laugh

As for free pets (I myself use free pets, I don't play with RL money...b:surrender)

Petite sawfly (possible catch at lvl 8) - air pet for air quests, and good dps.

Glacial walker (possible catch at lvl18? or 19...forgot.) - your main tank. If you can't level both pets at once, focus on your glacial - you'll prob use it more than your sawfly, and it's a pain in the **** to try to lvl sawfly on the ground as they get stuck so often :(

If you have a free pet slot, grab the eldergoth marksman (possible to tame at lvl 41). It's one of the few ranged tameable pets, and it's got decent stats. Good for luring, which will be what u usually do in FBs (FB = dungeon) and other such instances.

If you're the fox-form tanking type, and your pet doesn't do the tanking, get a Dark wanderer. They're ground, and have good Dps.

For water pets, get the 20 hay and expand your pet bag to 3 pets, then just catch the highest-lvl water pets as and when you need them, then throw them away when you don't.

If you don't really care for practicality (some people just want unique/cool-looking pets) then some cool looking pets I think:

cloud skatefish - they're like a smaller manta ray, they look pretty nice :)

gnome saboteur (fen grave robber) - the goblin with the mining glasses, thought that looked pretty cool :)

molten ant - you gotta love ants.

Of course there are the rare pets, frogs, huggy hare, cat, dog, little white bear thingy...I myself was lucky to catch a frog when I was lvl 10, passing through on some quest...but seriously it's not that good b:surrender only perhaps as a mage tank. And by then you're prob better off asking a mage to tank.

The rare pets aren't really the best. Perhaps the Kowlin (fast speed, good luring) and overall ecstatically pleasing look :)

Do whatever rocks your boat. I think I talked too much.

for your build, either reroll, or pump only into magic from now on. at later lvls you can always restat.
from lvl 30 on you can start adding 1 str. every 2 lvls again to wear arcane armour.

I would suggest getting a dark wanderer. If you want to get a herc later the glacial walker becomes useless while the dark wanderer is still really usefull.

I recommended a re-roll because with the stats as listed, she cannot use the trial pataka (59 mag requirement), and won't be able to use it for another 5 levels. The trial pataka is an awesome weapon, better than even the level 20 supply stash weapon. Most venos use it into their 30s, some into their 40s. The extra time she spends killing stuff because she can't use the trial pataka would be better spent re-leveling from 1-20.

The 14 levels is just whats needed to get her mag to 3x level. To truly fix it, she'll need to buy a restat scroll and remove the unwanted dex and str. Though I suppose she could just carry the str for when she's level 70 (TT70 weapon/armor requires 39 str).

Don't get me wrong; I enjoy broken/non-standard builds and creating artificial challenges for myself. But at some point the time wasted begins to far exceed the enjoyment from the challenge. This build is beyond that point. When I suggest someone re-roll, I don't do so lightly.

Her current str will be enough til she's level 80, when she'll need 44 str.
