why i can't do this ??

hi all,

i really like Perfect World ^^

but i have something to be consider

*** i'm a left hand person...so i need to hold mouse by left hand...and my right hand for moving character by using arrow

i can't customize the arrow to move the character ( <--- turning left) i found the up / down arrows are used for system....

i really can't handle the game without using arrow

( all mmorpg i've played can customize the movement)

    Press K to open the hotkeys menu. Not sure if you can set what the movement keys do but if you can, try setting them to the arrow keys.

    i knew about it

    i tried a lot but the system told me that up/down arrows are used for game system

    and there is no

    turn right
    turn left

    only

    move right
    move left

    i'm left handed

    i need to have movement by arrows

    What about using the numpad 8 for forward, 2 for backward, 4 left, 6 right? But as far as using the arrows, you're out of luck.

    Ooooh I get how you feel >___< I'm ambidextrous so yeah... I usually use a left hand mouse but when I started PWI, I had to learn to use the right hand...

    There is the customization thing now to change things but I found it easier to use a right hand mouse in the end to really play the game.

    Just try mix and matching things so you can try some new things. If all else fails, try a right hand mouse too. Thats what I had to do >.<

    Can't you just put the mouse on the left side of your keyboard? I use mouse on left hand too.

    Though, wouldn't 8456 make more sense considering that 2468 is positioned in a square, whereas the WASD and 8456 on the Numpad would be in a triangle shape?

    His point isn't the mouse, it's having to use WASD instead of being able to use the arrows.

    Exactly. Put mouse on the left of the keyboard, and use it with left hand, then your right hand can use WASD easily.

    Another method, if you know computer programming, is to hook a process into the keyboard driver, to intercept the message whenever you press the arrow button and change it to WASD. NOTE: this is NOT hacking.

    I use my mouse with my left hand and have never found a single issue with that . . . so I guess I don't see why it's such a big deal. Just a matter of getting used to having your hand positioned correctly.

    THE PROBLEM IS THAT

    I'm USING A LAPTOP NOT A PC !!

    DID U GET IT NOW ??

    i'm using a mouse in the left side of laptop....my right hand should be in right side because that i need arrows

    plus my laptop keyboard doesn't have numerical keys in right ^^

    i need arrows

    or i have to leave the game b:shocked

    i haven't asked for impossible

    only asked for

    up arrow move me toward

    right arrow turning me right

    left arrow turning me left

    down arrow move me downward


    or at least add turning right and turning left command to the game


    is this impossible ????

    Why didn't you say so in your first post?

    You can't use the arrows for movement so guess you'll have to find a new game.

    I don't know whether this helps answer your question a little, but it would seem a suggestion that might make it somewhat easier for some people.

    My younger brother plays Perfect World and he doesn't do too well turning with a mouse, so he asked what he could do to enable him to look in another direction, rather than run off into a wall or off a cliff that he cannot see.

    If you open your system menu in game, one of the options is A,D Keys. What this does is allows the A and D keys to Turn left and right, rather than strafing in the aforementioned directions.

    what u brother meant by A,D keys are move to left and right move in a liner way

    i want to turn left and turn right .... like in RESIDENT EVIL... CALL OF DUTY...HALO and other MMORPGs

    I'm left handed.. I just got over it and use the right-handed mouse and WASD.

    Actually, my right hand is on a touchpad, and my left is on WASD.

    I'm strongly left-handed.

    So, learn to play the other way. It's really not that hard.

    this is not impossible for a big company like PERFECT WORLD to do such a thing to help their players enjoying more fun

    perfect world published this game free to pleasure the player ^^

    i guess they will not ignore my request ^^

    ok here is one possible solution.... change the W and S key to the other side of your keyboard then hold down Right click of mouse for directional i.e. left and right. I have never used A and D to move left and right idk if u can change keys for forwards and backwards but this is an possible solution! Like I said hold and use your right click on mouse for your left and right directions.

    When useing it this way you are basically moving your screen left and right and up and down instead of your character while moving forwards and backwards.

    Im sory your using a lefty mouse so it would actually be left click for you to hold down sorry.

    i have done this before......but as u said RIGHT CLICK will move camera not character

    and since we walk/run long distance we need to auto walk and turn left/right by arrow only to rest ur hand a while

    No, actually, it's to TURN, like you'd turn your head, not to strafe.

    I am lefhanded too but I trained myself on using the mouse with my right hand ^^
    That was because there was no possibility of using the mouse with left hand on our school computers.

    I can Imagine that Its hard for you but you can change it at the options. ^^

    I'm left-handed but I do everything (but write) the right-hand way. I don';t think I've ever had a problem and I'm actually learning to write right-handed so I can use a fountain pen without smudging like hell.
