Perfect coin sink

After doing some thinking about inflation and deflation came up with what I believe is a good idea...of course there are gonna be trolls...and QQer's and complainers...every post gets them for some reason >_>

NT-ways....

Have a limited time NPC...call it an event or something...for 1 week at a time set up a temporary NPC with a daily quest to exchange coins for exp or spirit...10 coins per exp point or 100 coins per spirit point with a maximum of 1 mil coins to be spent on NPC a day with 24 hour cool down time. This would certainly make a great coin sink...I'm very sure some people would be 7 mil poorer by the end of the "event" and the only thing that would be bought is exp or spirit...not items that could be traded.

go ahead and flame if you must...but I'm sure the truly intelligent players can see the positive effects it would have on their PW gameplay experience. b:victory

    That is in essence the daily Crazy Stones quest. You buy experience and spirit for coin... pretty much directly.

    Ahhh....but can you see the beauty of it...how many people do you know that would pay a mil for 100k exp or 10k spirit...if you look at scarlet fruit you get way less exp for your coin...and this actually is a game sink that some other player doesn't get the coin...and I know the high lvls would pay a mil for a quick 100k exp considering the time it takes for them to even get that much

    I see what your saying . Could possibly be a good idea . However it may effect their sales of hyper exp , tokens for oracles and such . PWE is about the $$$ , nothing else. It is a good idea of yours to put a coin : exp ratio and people can coin sink till their hearts content for exp , instead of items in return that reduce the coin sink such as what jolly jones was . Thumbs up for thinking of a solution (better than the one PWE came up with LOL) for the inflation prob. I dont think its inflation driving the 20% less NPC DQ decision however, i think is just pure greed, see how far we can push this type decision.

    You overpriced the exp way too much. 100k exp is like what...6-7 Oracle II or III priced at something like 35-40k each and you even get some coin back while burning them. Can't check exact numbers since i'm at work.

    Well you can't exactly cut into the cashshop profit that easily...thats why I say a daily quest with a max of 1 mil coins per 24 hours...keeps people from QQing too much about Exp Noobs...(i.e. oracle and hyper stone) and after the quest is done which would take about 30 secs out of ur regular play time...could still take ur hyper stones and go do what you normally would...I would honestly like to say there is a happy medium to the coin:gold ratio...that perfect sweet spot where F2P would have to put in some effort to buy gold with coin but not so expensive that gold hikes up to 500k and no one charges gold cause they can't sell it in the auction house...IMO I believe the perfect gold price is 290-330k...allows F2P to afford gold and boutique items...and also causes the "real" cash shoppers to charge gold when they sell their hoard

    Off course suggestions go in the suggestion box...what an id10t I am to not think of that in the first place...oh wait...I wasn't making a real suggestion...I was starting a general discussion cause I was bored and wanted some interaction since no one really "trolls" the suggestion box...so alby...I really must thank you for brightening my morning with innovative way of thinkingb:scorn

    So on with business...anyone feel like having a genuine discussion...or only the trolls out this early?

    I've noticed that most trolls are either narrow minded or greedy...not that there is really much of a difference...but since I like to think outside the box instead of QQ/rage/flame about DQ price nerfs...or 3* nerfs...or reduced drop rates...wow...I could write a 10 page essay on all the QQ in the forums and still not cover everything b:surrender

    Honestly...PW needs some innovative coin sinks that actually appeal to the average player...any other ideas?

    Add in a range of fashion that you can buy with normal coin. Fashion locks up coin nicely, and appeals to the 'lots of coin' crowd without hurting the 'no coin' people.

    When are yougyus gonna understand that 'coin sinks' are useless in PWI as PWE is intentionally floodnig the game with coins? You reaelly think that taking scraps via npc is gonna make up for everythig else?

    The goal of this patch is simple: Make the game harder fo non-cash shopper little by little (as they have been doing for months now) in order for them either to quit or fork over money for gold. Balancing the coin flow or making it fair for all gamers is not their conceurn.

    wow...ur about a bright one aren't you...coin isn't really going anywhere...its just changing hands...people are hoarding...and every day more coin gets added to the servers...why don't you go study economics before you continue to QQ that PW just wants more money...I'm willing to bet the marketing department at PWI understands about inflation and the sweet spot where they make the most money...and trust me they aren't doing it when gold is 500k on the server...supply just doesn't meet demand...now wrap ur brain around percentages for a min...there are still items of equivalent value and when the price drops on one then the price shall drop on the other...and prices will come down when no one is buying cause they have less coin...and that is the purpose behind a coin sink...there are repair costs for a reason

    For some strange reason I feel better when I read the forums...makes me feel fortunate that I at least have half a brain b:victory

    A coin sink would be good but the prices on that are way too high, cuz right now I can't see anyone who'd use that.

    I think that this is a very good idea. I wish pwi would implement this.

    I wouldn't waste my money on EXP and a lot of high level chars wouldn't either. Getting exp in-game is too easy... the only people who would actually pay for this, as well as it being such a poor value that you offered, would be people who want to level an alt from 1-50 in a matter of minutes.

    The only people who are really worried about exp are the ones who don't have any money and are caught up in the whole hyper-speed-leveling addiction, if you hadn't noticed.

    Change TT and Frost so that it costs coin to enter just like Lunar. Heck make it like 3M to enter and increase the drop rates alot.

    and which high level may you be talking about... cause as far as i am concerned everytime i walk outside of archo i get hit with 100k exp. what we need is a reverse of what you sugguests... trading exp for coins... considering i got over 100mil exp sitting there and not leveling me up.

    other than alts to level quickly from 1-30 to start using oracles till hyper frost runs.

    Oracle II=30k
    1 mil/30k=33
    33x15k=495k exp.

    So, which would you rather have for 1 mil.....495k exp, or 100k exp?

    Many of the people I know still do CS. I still do it. I admit that sometimes I'm too lazy to do world quest or cube, but I always get CS done.
    100k exp=1 mil
    Oracle II=30k
    1 mil/30k=33
    33x15k=495k exp.

    So, which would you rather have for 1 mil.....495k exp, or 100k exp?

    For me... 1 minute of Hyper XP on the first boss in Nirvana = 650k exp.

    Coin sinks won't work as long as we still have packs injecting tokens of best luck into the market.

    Every month, when packs return, all the coins that just dropped out of the market return in the form of ten million bank notes.

    After reading this post , i feel like i was too closed about this stuff. I'm not really into economy since its not my thing... but...

    I think, packs do decrease in game coins. I think it was made to decrease in game coins amount. I tried to use my logic about it,i think some people nowadays didn't trust packs since they never got it and they wont waste money for it again. Maybe can make something that almost look alike with packs but with better offer...? (unlike all class pet...its not useful other than just for show off) maybe a pack that have shards inside it and ppl surely got Average random shard or higher from buying it? Or something else? I'm not really good to give suggestion..sorry

    Then, Fashion didn't help much on repairing coins price since, their price will go down when its not a new fash again. (even if u buy gold from coins > buy fashion > forced to resell fashion on later day with lower price) but the dye do help right? using dye and its gone into the clothes and most ppl like random dye from boutique instead sure dye from AH.They buy Gold for 10 random dyes. Sometime i wonder if they can make NPC that selling dyes, in high price tho.

    Idk this is just me or what, i cant found 70+ potions on any NPC.... maybe if it really didnt exist, add that so i can buy those in a pack for my supply? i don't really use food for my supply. Just MP food from my phail pack try for my barrage~

    making ppl quit from Pwi didnt really help actually.... some of em gave their stuff to other and it will make the other person get richer and might make in game coins price dropper...

    Then, i was thinking if they can make another expansion stone, maybe... to expand bank to bigger than last limit we have now or maybe inventory or maybe supply stash?

    Then, i think...in order to increase ingame coins, make ingame coins as precious as gold? Maybe new Stuff from NPC? Not forgot to make it balanced i think...
