Enemies take a while to kill?

Okayy sooo,
I created an archer a few days ago and i've been loving it.
However, I have one small problem.
{He is level 15.}
Enemies take a while to defeat.
They reach me and when i try to run they catch up.
My build is
4 dex
1 stre
each level.

Am I doing something wrong?

    At some point you can kill pretty much everything with Frost Arrow, attack attack, knockback, attack attack attack. Until then you gotta be creative and take a couple hits

    archers are late bloomers. we shine in the middle level. high level? we will shine too if we have good stuff lol.

    Make sure you have your passive skills maxed (Winged Blessing, Bow Mastery, Blazing arrow) and that you are attacking from max range. At level 25 you should have the trial crossbow and mobs should either be not hitting you at all or only hitting you one time.

    I think he was looking at the OP's forum avatar, which is level 25, instead of reading he's level 15, and was giving advice based on where he should be at level 25. The weapon you should be using at level 25 is the trial crossbow, even though you get it at 19.

    Also, I thought that you could not equip that crossbow until you are level 20?
