Hello all, I thought that Pacific time which is game time is 2 hours behind Central time and 3 hours from eastern Which means If Central time is lets say 7:00 then Pacific would be 5:00. Now Please correct me if i am wrong here because from past like 4 weeks i have been watching the game time on the forums and currenlty the time is 7:29 central and the forum shows 4:29 as being game time SO WHO IS WRONG HERE!!! OR HAVE I LOST MY MIND?b:angryb:shocked

*makes a reply to see the game time real quick and will edit in just a moment*

Edit: Weird, because I live in the Eastern Standard Timezone, and it's currently 10:00am and the forum says it's 6:00am for the Pacific Standard Time. That's 4 hours apart, not 3.

However, I have on my faction's forums a clock for the PWI's server time and EST's time. That clock says it's 7:00am for PST. So my answer is that THESE forums have not updated their times for DST (Daylight Savings Time).

So you're not crazy, the timestamps on the forums are behind one hour of PST.

Edit 2: According to the forum's timestamps, it's in the same timezone as Alaska, lol.
Current Local time in Anchorage, Alaska (Same as the forum's current time).

FYI, the West Coast servers (Lost City, Heaven's Tear, Sanctuary, and Archosaur) are currently on PDT (Pacific Daylight Time), which is UTC/GMT -7, while the East Coast servers (Harshlands, Dreamweaver, and Raging Tide) are currently on EDT (Eastern Daylight Time), which is UTC/GMT -4. That is not the same as PST and EST, which are UTC/GMT -8 and -5, respectively.

As for the forum time, GMT -8 is PST, so if you're expecting PDT you're going to be confused.

In other words, the forum time currently doesn't match any server time, but once Daylight Savings Time ends, then it will match the West Coast servers again.

    Euh, technicalities :P

PDT (-7 GMT) = PST (-8 GMT) during the summer
EDT (-4 GMT) = EST (-5 GMT) during the summer

Same location, just a new acronym to differentiate between when they're in daylight savings and when they're not. Although the servers have transferred between PST to PDT, the forums have not.

Pacific Standard Time - 6:56AM at the time of this post. (Washington, Oregon, etc)
Central Time - 9:56AM at the time of this post. (South Carolina, Utah, etc)

sorry, but this kinda bugged me.

south carolina and utah are in two totally different time zones, neither in central time. SC is in Eastern, and Utah is in Mountain.

sorry again; im not trying to be nit-picky, just trying to clear some stuff. b:surrender

This is the North American version of PW so the TW times fit in with whatever timezone the server is in. There is a European version of PW where the TW times are at a decent time for Europeans.

So basically, no the programmers will not be changing it.
