Is there a crit cap?

I've heard some people say that Crit rate is capped at 50%, is this true? Can you have more than 50% crit rate?

    There is no 50% crit cap and some classes can get 100% crit for a few seconds. Assassins can easily get like 70 or 80%.

    the buffs you are probably talking about are rage dmg buffs, not crit rate.

    nvm they might be.

    EDIT: crit cap = 100% or see post below.

    The BM demon pole ulti:
    Demon version gives a 50% chance to make all hits critical for the next 5 seconds.

    So that means 100% crit for 5 secs :P
