I am fully aware that your goal is to make money by offering Free Play and hoping or force the issue that Real Money needs to be spent on items in order to advance. I am also aware that you don't like players playing totally free. I am also very aware that Developers, Designers and Decision Makers amongst the staff DO NOT THINK THINGS THROUGH when they come up with their brilliant failed ideas. Like those World Horns that invaded all in game Chat.

So now you have come up with the idea that reducing the sale price to NPC's of DQ items is a good thing for both players and PWI. I am going to Think Things Through for you seeing how PWI staff is not capable of doing so on their own.

It is tough and frustrating enough for players who do take advantage of Free Game Play in regard to grinding for game coin. Have you stop to think how they managed to advance even though the do not spend monies in the Boutique, yet strangely they still acquire needed Boutique Items. Those players buy those those items from other players who Spend extra monies in the Boutique for that very reason, in order to increase their in game coin. Now some genius at PWI decided that by reducing the sell-to-npc will frustrate those who play-for-free will now spend monies in the Boutique. Here are a couple of problems you are/will cause by doing so.

You will frustrate play-for-free players so much that they will simply quit. Yes they WILL quit because they have 0 dollars invested and will lose nothing by quitting.
OR it will take players who play-for-free that much longer to grind for coin thereby reducing the sales of Boutique Items to players who resell those items.
This in-turn, will reduce the purchasing of Boutique Items by those reseller players. No one wants to invest real monies in items that won't sell for months because it takes that much longer for others to grind for coin. They may come to the conclusion that grinding themselves maybe faster to earn coin than reselling Boutique Items.

This brilliant idea of reducing the sell-to-npc prices is a LOSE-LOSE situation no matter how you do the math. PWI will never be able to force those who have decided not to spend monies in the Boutique into spending money. I know of some players who have spent monies in the Boutique are now quitting because they do not want to be subjects of more frustration by PWI's lack of foresight. As stated to me: "Hell, I'm cutting and running before they come out with more foolishness. **** them is better than getting screwed by them." PWI, you are shooting yourself in the foot.

You have lost long time players because of some of the stunts pulled. Now with this reducing selling prices you are losing even more. Instead of making things harder, why not go the other direction. Make things a bit easier. Increase the prices which would stimulate more sales. Free Players can buy more Boutique Items from other players which in turn will increase Boutique sales. Do The Math!!!

You should've really stopped typing after that.

Let them shoot themselves in the feet. They'll learn one way or another.

    <snip>

    DQ Drops NPC-Price Dropped 20%

5% price rise on all NPC goods

Is it really that hard for you to post about it in one of those main discussions, where you were supposed to?

If there are people who PAY money to BUY things from the BOUTIQUE. The game will never stop and it won't fail to them because they are getting money. b:surrender

With all do respect to your idea, I don't think they will pay attention to it if they are successful and have all the money they need.

I find the original post very well formulated and with a valid point.

Yet people like to troll this thread. If you don't like the thread, don't post. It's that simple.

If he posted in the other thread where 90% of the people, again, are trolling, you think his post would've been noticed at all?

If people were more mature this wouldn't be needed, but since it's a gaming forum, it's expected to have people like that. But not all of them. b:bye

But will PWi listen to his point? :/ We don't know that, right? If they have people that shop from the Boutique, what will make them stop to look at the people who don't pay?
I like this and wish they would make it fair for everyone whether they pay or not but from the company's business perspective..I have no idea if it will matter to them.

    News Flash:

PWE is a publicly traded company and it is supposed to make money, if they did not, they would go bankrupt.

    PWE is not a charity.
