Does any barb out there have a full set?
Fuzzy is working towards his set, but finding it hard to get good information on the stuff and has a few questions...
- Is there a set bonus for it (can't imagine why there wouldn't be) and if so, what is it?
- Seeing that Fuzzy has not yet made lvl100 and has not had the pleasure of running Nirvana, how realistic is it to collect the 400 uncanny crystals required to upgrade the Solar Flash set to actually forge Cascade Glow? Are we talking 3 or 4 months worth of runs? 6 months? A year?
- If a barb out there does indeed have a full set, any chance of getting a screen shot?
Fuzzy not gonna lie... 80% of the motivation to get this set is how it looks. (Come on, we all know thats far more important than stats b:chuckle) but it does seem to be wildly different than the Lionheart equivalent. The Lionheart set, from what me can see, is going to effectively add a truck load more HP than the Cascade. However much like the difference between Mountcrasher and Brute plate for the 90 level, it appears to be a trade off for damage reduction and increased strength.
The base physical def and elemental def on each piece is higher to begin with and there is a 1% damage reduction on each piece. Combined with the extra dex and str for each piece this does seem to be a fair trade. It would suggest the ability to deal far greater damage at the expense of durability. The same can be said of the 90 green vs. gold and having a full set 90 gold, Fuzzy no can complain about it.
Me guess basically Fuzzy looking for some input from other barbs as to their thoughts on the TT Lionheart vs. Lunar Cascade. Are most tanks just so set on having high hp that they not bother about how hard they hit hence 90 green/Lionheart more popular? Is it just the cost of running Lunar squad that keeps people away? Is it just easier to run TT and the mats are more readily available? Does one set truly eclipse the other?
Guess Fuzzy just looking for a discussion of the one set vs. the other....

There is a full set bonus and it is:
2 pieces- Atk lvl+5
5 pieces- Def lvl+10
6 pieces-Def lvl+3
I don't think any barb in the game has the fullset yet, but I know of a few barbs with 1 or 2 pieces.0 -
The first upgraded Nirvana gears aka Recast, doesnt get you any set bonus.
To get the set bonus you need the reforge Nirvana Armors which needs 250 uncanny each armor piece.Originally written by Satchiko to me regarding old spice commercial :

I'm going for TT nirvana set, gives more HP as well as the 4% pdef and, very importantly, mdef.
But that's probably a far off dream as I'm still farming 90 gear (no internet for a week since the router broke, then I need to farm a swindlers Q_Q)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

the 4% extra wouldnt do much lol, look at the tt99 Phys and Magic defense, its higher then the nirvana gear, it would only be noticeable if you have multiple pieces of armor0 -

If you look at the base pdef and mdef of cascade glow as compared to lionheart nirvana .. it is way higher .. I believe that is why the 4% bonuses exist.. now I have not been able to acquire either because I'm very poor atm .. but I believe that cascade glow is pretty much on par with lionheart (although the boots make me sad.. speed +.3 rather than hp +180)
as for the earlier question .. the set bonuses add up.. you will have def lvl +13 total with 6 pieces.. my plan (if i can ever find squads for lunar and whatnot) is to get 5 pieces of cascade glow.. then the tt99 boots if i can for more hp
but that will take ages of farming I think haha i'm still in my tt90 for now0 -

good luck with that lol, gonna either take you months and months of farming or you can CS and spend a few thousand lol. 250x6= 1500 crystals and you'd be lucky to even get 1 on one run, with all the time spent i could +10 all my gear plus i think i'd be bored at the game by the time i get it all, to be honest i am starting to get bored now because there is nothing else to do b:sad0 -
Yea .. as I said it will take ages.. I don't cash shop beyond casually (a cool mount here or there.. maybe some fashion) but it gives me a reason to keep playing past 100
only reason I am not planning on getting full tt99 is because I don't wanna refarm tt90 and I am not decomposing the tt90 +6 that I already own ... so I figured.. hey maybe lunar .. I'll probably change my mind about it at some point or give up all together on it .. but that is my plan as of right now haha

If you are talking about the g13 version of cascade glow (which I assume you are.. because you said 400 uncannys) yea it has way less HP than lionheart version and it has no set bonus
however for g15 (which requires a heck of a lot more uncannys.. 1000 total for armor 1500 if you want all 6 pieces) the HP stats aren't all that different .. except on the boots
and both g15 sets have the same set bonus which was mentioned earlier .. however g13 cascade glow has no set bonus like solar flash has no set bonus0 -

there are 2 sets of nirvana armor.. just like there are 2 sets of nirvana weapons.. one from lunar gold .. one from tt99 gold.. cascade glow is the lunar version of nirvana0 -

Yes, Fuzzy realizes this.. its too bad there is no set bonus for solar flash since by the sounds of it, me will be wearing it for quite some time to farm Nirvana for the crystals. b:sad
Not sure how it is on other servers, but at least on RT its actually pretty easy to find a Lunar squad and Fuzzy only needs a handful more essence drops to complete the armour. Then its onward and upward to Nirvana to start hoarding them crystals. b:victory[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
