Wraith Spirts from OHT --> Event Helm

I heard a rumor of this being fact, some unreachable amount perhaps?? Anybody know the answer?

    Aproximately 6 months of grinding to get enough for the grade 14 event helm.

    the npc there tells ya same thing and yes it was farmable before packs, and yes people had lvl 1 ones and were working on high and basically got bent over by packs

    prepare to meet hard hitting mobs plus you need to grind like 18k wraith spirits

    if exp wasn't so easy to get, and a bunch of venos were grinding in there like it's their only way to level, you'd probably see someone farm a higher grade one by now

    I was just checking around and did some numbers. If I wanted to grind my way to Snowflake Soles, just by killing the mobs, the amount of exp should be enough to get me from where I am right now, lvl 90, to lvl 101. The actual amount of experience gained was something like 288,000,000+.

    So yes, farmable, but not quite realistic. The drops rates for the Wraith items are really bad.

    but OVS grind is nevertheless efficient and popular...better than OUF at least

    9 battle pets to level, daily quest already near target mobs, 2 hit kills with good drops (profitability), hidden chest possibilities, and something to do while waiting for that next FB, BH, etc to pop up in WC/PM. By the time I earn it, I should be able refine it to 5+, and stick 4 genesis stones in it. Got over 3k so far.

    good, its reachable thats one point the other point is the only thing is in those maps you could farm summoncards instead and be able to buy it about 20 times faster

    I do that also. The Summon Cards don't appear to be extremely profitable. I save them for double drops to kill the bosses and the mats sell so slow. I can't see buying the boots and hat when they'll come as a side effect of decent grinding anyway. The Warsoul of Heaven hat is comparable and can be found for ~17m while my Oracle's boots are also decent. I'd have to invest a lot in either the hat or boots just to catch them up to what I have, so I decided to save the coin and farm the mats.

    Qui get your butt to OVS. The mobs that are efficient and popular arent the ones that give you mats for the boots.

    I'm a veno with a herc and nix and find it really easy to farm wraith spirits. The mobs give great exp and drop a lot of DQ so in about 2hours i get about 700k coins, and about 70-100 wraith spirits. I'm actually close to getting my hat nowb:pleased

    Edit: Oh, I was going to mention this but.. I don't think the drop rate is that bad with some mobs. Just getting the mob kills for my chrono quest a while back I got 3 drops from 3 mobs (in one AOE), lol. More things to crowd up my bankspace until they become useful... yay =(

    Maybe I was just extremely lucky.. but yeah. This wasn't during 2x drops either.

    If it really takes 6 months grinding approx, wouldn't it be far more efficient time and effort wise to just grind the 50m or whatever it is nowadays that the helm costs from packs, and buy one?

    I mean, I'm all for accomplishment, but that concept kinda gets killed when easier methods are introduced =/
    It'd kinda be like grinding lv40 mobs at lv50 instead of grinding same level mobs, just so you can say you worked harder for your level.
