First of all it depends on the level of your character and the mob you are grinding, the bigger the difference the bigger the drop in the drop %. Secondly, its going to seem stupidly **** anyway after 2 weeks of 2x drops. Last check here to see if there is a mob you can grind for a better drop % and closer to your level.Executor Of Reunited ~ Level 3 ~ Level 85+ ~ No Drama, No Pressure Faction.

I'm having a similar problem. I'm level 47, my partner is level 48 and we're trying to farm for "Purified Oil". We're south of Archosaur, attacking Backstabbing Scorpions, Argenweave Mantises, Tiger Striped Araneids and Antitan Soldiers. We've killed probably around 80 or more and not a single drop of Purified Oil. We've got lots of Honey Juice now...
The highest creature we could go to is Bloody Goldwings, at level 37. We're headed there now, to see what happens.
Very frustrated,

Read my post above, you're alot higher than the mobs so the drop rate is going to be alot lower.Executor Of Reunited ~ Level 3 ~ Level 85+ ~ No Drama, No Pressure Faction.

Sometimes things just don't drop and go through stages of being really good and you get a drop every 3 kills or so, or they don't drop for love nor money. When that happens i move on somewhere else and try again later.Executor Of Reunited ~ Level 3 ~ Level 85+ ~ No Drama, No Pressure Faction.

do u know of any other mobs other than the vipons above bamboo village that drop fruit then?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

It's already been said, but reiterating the point here:
Sometimes drops just aren't on your side. This causes a lot of whining during double drops, and then a lot of complaints after because all of a sudden the drop rate seems godawful. Within five levels is the best range to grind in, lower or higher of the mob's level. I tend to find I get better drops if I'm a lower level than the mob but perhaps, that's just me.
Either way, the thing with this is you need to have a really large sample size before you can say "Drops have been nerfed." There are some days where drops just seem ****, and others where they seem more than reasonable. I guess you were just having a bad day?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Drops vary sometimes they are good and sometimes they are bad either way there is nothing you can do except make a new char to grind them with who is lower or closer to their level.Executor Of Reunited ~ Level 3 ~ Level 85+ ~ No Drama, No Pressure Faction.

No. You earn money at your job, then you buy the burger from a fast food restaurant. Or you visit the supermarket, buy ground beef, buns, vegetables, and use it to make a dburger.
Don't grind for fruit. Grind for coin (DQ mats, whatever), then use the money to buy fruit. It makes absolutely no sense for you to grind for fruit when lots of other people who don't want fruit are getting it as drops and are trying to get rid of it. Same thing with stuff you don't need. If you get fur, leather, glue, oil, etc., and aren't doing any crafting, sell it with a cat shop or AH.0 -

Agreed. lol, I remember in my 70's omg I had soo many of those fungus from those falcon mobs. I could barely even give it away. Gave away 1000 fungus to a certain wizard's veno alt to clear space in inventory and still had another 2000+ b:cry I eventually gave up trying to sell it or give it away and npc'd. b:surrender[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Grinding seems more sensible considering the price of fruit, last time i looked which was a while it go it was around 7k a fruit, now i would refuse to pay that and grinded it instead b:chuckle.Executor Of Reunited ~ Level 3 ~ Level 85+ ~ No Drama, No Pressure Faction.

Only problem is that there are some people who have stuff they don't need but know other people do, and they charge outrageous prices for it. Granted, it is lessening, but some items can only be found for tens of thousands more than their ideal price. Hay, fruit, fungus, and etc., usually are pretty well priced in Arch though. However, if you see a price that seems a bit over-the-top, don't be afraid to run around taking a sampling of what everyone else has to offer. Always check the AH too, sometimes people sell stuff on there really cheap to get it out of their inventory. For those times when *facepalm* and *headdesk* just aren't enough, I present...*brickhead*...painful, effective, and guaranteed to make you forget why you hit yourself in the first place.

The vipions near misfortune dropped a lot of fruit for my blademaster.
I understand the logic of making money and buying it, but for me it depends on what kind of price you can find. I will not buy from the people that charge 10k per fruit because that is ridiculous and I don't want to support them. So sometimes I will grind for items I need.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

20.1% real drop rate for pendant of glacia (sells for 2150)
6.73% real drop rate fruit
158 +/- 118 coin
On average, you have to kill 14.85 of them to get one fruit. From those kills, you will get 3.29 pendants (worth is 7064 coin) and an average 2346 coin. Not including the other misc drops you can sell as well, you're already at 9410 coin per fruit drop. In other words, even if you're grinding on one of the best mobs for harvesting fruit, and even if you're paying 7k for fruit, the misc drops and coin will help you get fruit quicker than the actual fruit drops themselves.
Same thing for TT. Say you need forshura's armor. Do you do a TT run for it, and NPC the drops you get from the other bosses because you don't need them? No, you sell the other drops to other players. And if they did a TT run and got forshura's armor they didn't need, they can sell it to you.
You have to understand that when you're grinding for drops, all you're doing is converting your time into coin. If you have a goal in mind, like getting 50 fruit or getting 5 forshura's armor, refusing to convert the coin you get from other drops into those items just needlessly delays when you'll attain that goal. In other words, the most efficient use of your time is to grind on whatever gives the most coin/hr. If it's a mob which also drops fruit, great. But even if it doesn't drop fruit, you'll still be better off grinding on it and buying the fruit.0 -

All that figure number stuff doesnt interest me so i skipped the majority of your post.
However, the OP clearly stated he was broke so he will need the coin from drops to spend on other things, hence why he is grinding for fruit. Also, the price of fruit is stupid so it makes more sense to grind for it and earn a little extra coin then kill for hours to get the money to buy the over-priced goods.Executor Of Reunited ~ Level 3 ~ Level 85+ ~ No Drama, No Pressure Faction.

You can try killing Soulchaser Antelopes (level 54) around Tusk Town/King's Feast. Their default drop rate for fruit is 15.9476% and the real drop rate is 7.2694 whereas the default drop rate of fruit for Evolved Vipion is 15.4405 and the real drop rate is 6.734.

drop rates in many instances were dropped to 3/4 or 5/6 of previous rates during the maintenance in the middle of the double drop 3 weeks. It was especially noticeable in Lunar Glade where the drops were a fixed total EVERY time and there were no token drops in the mix. So, yes, drop rates were reduced, but not severely. Hopefully this can actually serve to recover some of the lame market problems that the cash shop has created.Main:

Whether you grind for fruit, grind for coin, grind for coin and buy fruit, grind for fruit and sell it for coin, it's all the same thing. The only thing that matters in the end is how much time you spend grinding, and how much fruit (dropped or bought) and coin you get for it.
Find a mob which gives you the most coin/hr (after selling the drops), and buy the fruit you need. You will end up with more money and finish quicker.Flashcon - Heavens Tear wrote: »You can try killing Soulchaser Antelopes (level 54) around Tusk Town/King's Feast. I don't recommend grinding specifically for fruit. But if you're going to ignore my recommendation and do it anyway, the Evolved Vipions are probably the easiest. Tab, attack, tab, attack, heal, tab, attack, etc.0 -
Pricing is a bit on the way overpriced/gouging side in archosaur for a LOT of mats people are selling. I can't believe they let them **** people for so much over the merch price for a lot of items. 7k for this, 9.5k for that, and you need 20-50 of these. Come on people, cut back on your pricing and you'll sell a lot more and make everyone else happier to do business with you again in the future. When I have stuff I either merch it or if I need some extra $ I will look at what others are selling it for and undercut them so I can move the mats and free up inventory.
This having to buy more slot space for characters is a bit chinzy too. I would have expected a couple quests to get 8-16 more slots, but no. You have to pay real cash for it as far as I can tell or get lots of coin and get gold for it via auction house. Anyways, that's a whole different story. People should not be so greedy on selling mats. You go farm items, you get coinage, why not pass on a little break to the peeps who aren't so high a level or just to help out instead of being a money-grubber?
As for farming, I am doing in on my veno lvl 51 for the oil drops and it is very slow/time consuming. I don't have any other chars that can kill as fast as I can and don't feel like spending another 2-3 days leveling another veno up to just farm items (i.e. keep it at around lvl 35 maybe for mat farming).0
