I was wondering if anyone can tell me what skills would be best for my Petite Sawfly?

None, sawflys are a waste to invest in as there are comparable fly pets to acquire at varying levels until the point a Nix becomes an easy option.

Answering your question, unlike this person, the sawfly already comes with Bash and Toxic Mist, you can put Flesh Ream in it to make it do more damage to enemy, and personally i put in Howl for the decreased magic defense to add more damage. But personally it is up to you and your playing style. Not everyone can afford a Cash Shop pet.

Edit: the sawfly (if you choose not to get a nix), is the equivalent to a nix (although not as powerful), if you keep it leveled.

I see very little reason to keep Toxic Mist, so I would remove that - not sure what I'd replace it with yet.

I am not sure I see much point in getting a Nix, if one is a PvE player.

Lol what? equivalent to the nix? As in.. both can fly and attack?
I was early taught to work as well as play,
    My life has been one long, happy holiday;
Full of work and full of play-
I dropped the worry on the way-
And God was good to me everyday.

People who cant afford a nix, the sawfly is pretty much the second best pet, if you didn't get that.

It wont be equivalent to a nix, but its the next best thing aside from nix on attack dmg.

Yes, invest in a sawfly because even when your skills and armor pieces become about as expensive as a Nix: you'll still refuse to get one. Then you'll refuse to believe a Nix is more than 5x what a sawfly could be, or that other fly pets could assist you in grinding just as fast as a Sawfly while coming with better skills at no cost. If you like throwing coin away: pls mail me some.

No one said anything about refusing a nix. I do agree that the nix is the best pet (cuz it is) im just saying that if you dont have one, or if you dont want to get one, or whatever is making you not get a nix, a sawfly is the best after a nix. Its not a waste if you want to put the effort into it.

Edit: Also i believe in answering the persons question first before putting your own personal opinion into something.

I didn't really see much point to a phoenix for PvE when I first read about it too. But having gotten one, I would heartily recommend it for PvE if you can afford it.

The DPS on a phoenix far, far outclasses any other pet. People argue about whether the herc or golem has better DPS. The phoenix does more DPS than both the herc and golem combined. It does about 30% more DPS than a herc+reflect against a spam-heal boss like Blackhole. It makes killing outdoor mobs so easy I consider it to be overpowered.

if you wanna pimp your sawfly's skills is more a question of your long term pet arsenal plans. if you plan to get a nix soon, i wouldn't invest in skills. if it's months away, things like maxing Bash(pve)/Ream(pvp) would probably be a good idea, because it's relatively cheap.

Cheap? Isn't it around 2m coin for something you can easily do comparable without? That 2m coin could be used as capital in merchanting. The rich get rich, the poor keep themselves poor.
