So Ive been having an awful time lately on my mage.
I cant win a duel to save my life. I had another bad night of everyone showing how they can beat a mage ,then telling me about how on some other server they have a mage and that i just need to learn more about it, (they always have some 9x mage on another server i assure you I must run into everyone who had a mage on every server now).
So I came here and thought id cheer up around my fellow mages, only to find that one thread

Wizards Defeated.
which only made me more sad, I mean I didnt roll mage to be UBER all the time or anything, I know my job , I nuke bosses, I kill catas in TW, ok i get that. But it might be nice to win a duel once in a while. Instead i get beat always. only if someone is ridiculously lower then me do i win. And i dont count that.
I could list how each class beats me, but we all know them.

Pls dont go on about this WAIT til im 9x ****, im so tired of being told i will pwn at 90+, its not where i am so its a moot point. I dunno really i just would like to be reminded why im a mage, moral support might be appreciated.

I made the wizards defeated thread as a QQ on assasins.....just because it's cool(we are never gonna be defeated)

LOL first of all the last thing a wiz your lvl should do is duel......PK is ok....but never duel @ your lvl cause you will lose most of the time

If you got skills try pking ppl....you can kill "ok" @ your lvl(not against wallets though)

Edit: and the reason everyone says wait till 9X is because it's TRUE.....@ 9x You will forget that you ever regretted rolling a wizard.....

The least "regreted" class @ endgame is a wizard.....that should say something about them

Rose i prettty much loose duesl too unless:

Cleric, sin, archers.. Get FOW as high u can and BT them its one shot u win.

Barbs, duel them outside instance run use shrink, fow hit hit hit

bms, hard as hell with this e stuns same as barbs but will be harder.

phys. forget it, same as the others bt on them but i dont hink u will have the time to do it cause they hit hard and faster..

PS dont forget to always use stone barrier on duels, and if its not max u should max asap.

Get extreme poison on genie to deal more dmg with ur ultimates...

dont forget u have sutra too that can kill them really fast..

Still the 90 thing is true, cause i came from a pvp server and i fought many wiz and they can really get stronger at 90 plus...

ok so dont worry u made a right choice making a wiz wiz pvp rocks at end lvl alltho at end lvl we start to suck pve wise but thats ok at end lvl no1 care for pve anymore b:victory

anyway just keep on lvl u get better and better as u lvl unlike other class's u will start do really high dmg at 9x 1xx u will end up 1 shoting ur targets and if u see a wiz saying wiz suck it only means he suck. honstly i cant imagine myself playing other class for me 1 shoting ppl is the best

Use some apothecary if you're really intent on dueling at your level.
Refine your arbor a little. You have shrink, so kite them as well as you can.
At your level you just lack the overall power or control skills to efficiently kill anyone, it's just something you'll have to bare with until you level up.

Duel? A wizard should not try duel at least until 79. Without apoth or genie tricks, he's dead meat, and even those can save your **** maybe 25% of the time.

So i guess i wont listen to the ppl that keep telling me i suck at stuff

anyway i think its just that i felt left out, You always see everyone in squads dueling eachother and i sometimes feel left out, since im either not asked to duel, and if i am i just get killed in two or three hits. So its like being excluded from the club so to speak.

don't worry, it's normal.
Other classes have control skills at low lvl. Kinda' sucks wizard doesn't, and I don't understand why devs made it that way, but just lvl up, LvL up your Mountain Sieze and things will change.
It's funny to see someone pissed off after they've been slept/sealed then sealed/stunned and ended up dead. If you go demon, you're going to have even more stuns available.
Wizard is a endgame class. After 90 you can really see the power of it, at at 95 is like a whole new world out there (when you get your packs gear). 99 is when you become scary.
Read what Seraphim said: if you choose wizard, you need to be in for endgame. Nothing else before really matters for this squishy class.

In these days is wizard not strong as used to be. Thank to pack and event items and refines. Today have every1 +7 even gear so bypass charm is a lot of harder and kill also.

I went around 3-4 private servers and asked them which class is the best for endgame.....and guess what the replies were...............

95 is the level you need to be to use the gear that has a small chance to come from the anni/coral/tiger/whatever they'll call it next packs.

pack gear(event gear)
is:
1.Heaven rage boots
2.Ence's scar helm
3.Wing trophy robe
4.Cube neclase
5.warsong belt
6. Lunar weapons high grade
7.tomes up and down or lv.5
8. Lunar rings

These gears are VERY rare and without packs VERY hard obtainable. They have best add on(blue) in game. And is very hard to beat some1 who has this gear properly refined.
It wasn't before. None1 has these gear so for mage it was much easier to own some1.

I personally also pick sage. But is every1 decision depend on playing style. Every path has advantages and disadvantages.

The only chance you'll have in duels at your level is Essential Sutra.

It's either barbs OR wizards who told that, if you ask a cleric main, he'll likely also tell you clerics are teh best. And with +12 EVERYTHING (the "private servers" you talking about maybe, or so I heard), it's actually quite impossible to 1-shot at all btw. Unless you also have warsoul but meh.

if you know people playing on the server you can have it in like 1 day...but you need lvl 150 for it.
Private servers are actually fun if you want to learn a class and how to PvP with it. Of course , you have to keep in mind everyone has uber-gear but you can get a glimpse of a endgame class without forking out a ton of cash or wait months for it. Just login, get and refine your gear and enjoy PvP.
