As you can see i'm no beginner, but i'm moving the game to a pc with less space. So, my question is: can you download PWI on a usb jumpdrive?

PWI is a huge file. Not as big as Sims 2 or anything, but you might just want to get a separate hard drive. A big one, if you're planning on adding more games.

I actually have run PWI off an external HD...granted, it was a 1TB dealie, but it can be put on USB drives and run from them.

You shouldn't have to go much higher than 250GB. Just for a price range, a year ago, my 1TB USB HD was about $150...slightly over-priced, but I needed it right away.

If you have an iPod then that works too. Don't even have it installed on my computer anymore, I just plug in my iPod into a computer when I want to play.

Yeah, an iPod has the same style of storage as an external HD...kinda cool when ya think about it...

Just be ware of, when you dont install the game on a PC that you uses, youll miss some registery-info.
This might crash the automaticly update in the launcher ect..

Its OK to have the game installed on a flash/USB-drive, but id install it on that drive from the computer Im gonna play it on. Not just install it on the drive, then move the drive from PC to PC without installing it..

You could just export the registry entry to the USb drive then merge it to the registry of the PC you want to play on if it's different from the PC you installed. I have my install on a 2TB external e-SATA drive and I move it between my Desktop and my Laptop. I have been doing this for most of my non-Productivity apps.

My PW folder is just under 7GB, and that's with screenshots (which make up almost 3GB). So, if you play from a USB, make sure you get one with enough room :).

I have copy-pasted the same game folder onto several different computer configurations from laptops to desktops and never had problems with the auto update or any feature from the game. I can assure there's no need to install the game or import registry entries to make the game work.

At least on Windows XP and Vista works without any trouble. Haven't tried it yet on Windows 7.
