Empowered Vigor On Barb or Cleric?

Heya folks, the other day i was doing bh39 1 Archer 1 psy (myself) a barb a cleric and 2 bms. Smooth run up until we got to farren. When we got there we all began rebuffing. I buffed the barb with empowered vigor so the effect of the clerics heals would prevent any chance of death.
Immediately the archer began ranting about how i was suppose to cast it on the cleric and that now we have to wait till i can cast it again >.>;
during the cooldown wait i was arguing with him waiting for a valid reason as to why a cleric would benefit from such a buff. He basically went in circles only saying it works better on clerics but not telling me exactly how. The rest of the squad was silent the whole time.
When i was able to cast it again i put it on the barb again saying w.o a valid reason
im not going to do otherwise. He shutup and we began killing farren and at about 25% health i was kicked out of squad.
I proceeded to kill the archer before farren was killed.

My question is, who am i suppose to cast that damn buff on? ty in advanced.

    Exactly what i was thinking! This isn't the first time i have heard the "cast emp vigor on cleric" nonsense. This was however the first time someone actually got so worked up about it that they kicked me from squad b:surrender

    There are moments when MAYBE it would be ok for a Cleric, but generally if they are healing there is no effect and no reason for them to have it. IMO it is just a lack of understanding of the skill itself.

    Diminished Vigor is amazing to put onto an enemy barb in tw though b:chuckleb:victory

    Some people think they know how to play a class better than everyone else. They usually get extremely butthurt whenever someone ignores them or proves them wrong. At least you killed him.

    ....you should kill that archer over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over until he finally say "I'm sorry, Empower Vigor should be casted on barb"...damn I wish I rolled on pvp server should I encounter that situation.

    *gigglesnort* I love casting Diminished Vigor on PvPing Clerics though. the look on their face when they can't heal themselves as well......priceless.

    Stack it with Soulburn? It's hell......for them anyway.

    there is a psy "guide" that advises that emp.vigor should be casted on the cleric (and that you shoud have white voodoo in dungeons etc etc) but it's a... fail guide

    anyway the skill clearly states that the target gets better heals, either from spells (from a cleric,wiz,psy), potions or charms not that the target will heal better other ppl


    it seems like ppl dont know our buffs :/
    i'm kinda bored of explaining sov just to get a no :(

    I assume the confusion comes from a misunderstanding of what the spell actually does - the person probably thought that it made healing spells that the target casts more effective, rather than making healing effects on the target more effective. It was idiotic that you got kicked from the squad. Unfortunately a lot of people in PW don't fully explain their reasoning when saying things, and just repeat themselves again and again hoping to convince people.

    This. I wondered the same thing when I first read the skill's description.


    Still, it seems like any logical person would argue that... If it made healing spells the target casts more effective, then the cleric will heal better. If it makes healing spells cast on the target more effective, then the barb would heal better AND casting it on the cleric would be useless AND we know that, without a doubt, casting it on the barb will increase the effects of any potions he drinks. Seems like the barb is the less risky choice even if you don't know how exactly the spell works.

    hey Korg i have tested Empowered Vigor on both barbs and clerics... only Benifits i see is the barb...
    you wanna cast somthing on cleric Diminished Vigor then soulburn FTW
    the skill does STATE
    Increases the Targets Healing ability Target is Barb
    Increases the Healing effect of skills
    Increases the Effect of healing Potions
    and Reduces cooldown time for charm


    in all Honesty Empowered Vigor is better on a Barb then cleric
