    • PWI stopped working

    I've got a problem with PWI game. I will explain all the details. First, I've read all the threads about this problem but I couldn't find any reason. I've got the language packs installed, my drivers are up to date. This is weird.
    Today I played a little then I left the game in taskbar. When I've come back I clicked on it but it didn't appear on desktop. I used task manager to close elementclient.exe and then I've restarted the game. I've got an error in some unreadable characters I clicked the first option and game started fine. I've logged in..character selection screen appeared but when I've clicked start the game crashed. I tried again a few times. I've read some PWI discussions, I've reinstalled the game..same problem. I've sent the error report.
    Now, I've got a question. Should I wait untill the next patch? Should I reinstall my OS?
    If a GM or MOD sees this thread in a bad place, or something wrong at it, do what you have to do.

      Hello, Could you please tell me your computer specification + OS? does it match the creteria below? Thank You :)

      Due to the intense 3D nature of Perfect World, you will require a 3D display card to play. However, the minimum requirements for the game are relatively low. An Internet connection of at least 56Kbps is required for play but it is not recommended as you may experience extreme lag or slow gameplay.

      Minimum System Requirements


      * Processor - Pentium 3 800 mhz
      * Memory - 256 RAM
      * Hard Disk Space - 2.5 GB
      * Video Card - 64 MB Video Card

      Recommended System Requirements



      * Processor - Pentium 4 1.8 Ghz
      * Memory - 512 RAM
      * Hard Disk Space - 2.5 GB
      * Video Card - 128 MB Video Card

      It'll be helpful to us if you tell us some of your computer's information.

      1) What is the make and model number of your computer?

      2) Please also tell us whether you are running a 32bit or 64bit version of Windows. You can find out in Windows by going here: Start > Control Panel > System & Maintenance > System. Then look under System > System Type. It will then display 32bit Operating System or 64bit Operating System. Include that info with the info we ask for below.

      3) To create a dxdiag log, go to Start, click on Run, then type in dxdiag and press Enter. Click on Save All Information as a text file (on your Desktop as an example.
      If you are using Vista or 7, go to the Start Menu, click on the Search menu and type dxdiag.exe.

      4) Copy and paste the top half of your dxdiag into your forum post (that means 50% of the text). If you have Vista, please take out the (TM) (the trademark symbol) out of the text file, as the forums will cut it off and won't display the rest of the text.

      If you have a 64bit system, please click on the 64bit Dxdiag/DirectX button to save the correct log file. This is important so that we can help you find the right software for your system.

      We'll take a look at it, and offer our advice (our our super cool and helpful community might beat us to answering things for you).

      I played PWI on this computer some months without any problem. I have all the requirements done, excepting the video card.. is minimum.
