Hello,
I played on Malaysia and then I moved to PWI and made a character on Heaven's Tear, I made a Cleric because I like to just fly around and with archers it takes mana so you don't get to fly as long. Anyways I enjoyed the game up till about level 17 then it just seemed too much of a grind and too hard for me and I could never get a group.

Anyways I have just restarted on the Raging Tide server. I haven't really dedicated my self to a character. Any advice guys. I am unsure of what class I should be or anything. I would like to level up fast, at least fast to 30 for I can fly anywhere. I also would like to be able to solo because I can never seem to get a group.

Thanks,

Dustin

Pure mag is generally the way to go, vit isn't much use as you rarely take aggro from pet once you learn how a Veno works, plus you're so squishy until at least high lvls that extra vit won't do much good if you do actually take aggro. 9 mag 1 str every 2 lvls.
AeonieX - Hybrid Vit Veno 6x
HarmieX - Pure Mag Psychic 6x
    KyraneiX - Axe/Fist BM 4x
    KyranthoX - Axe Barb 2x
    KyyranthoX - Hybrid Cleric 2x
AskariX - Pure Dex Assassin 2x
KyraneiiX - Pure Dex Archer 0x
AeoniiX - Pure Mag Wizard 0x

Roll as a veno, BM, Barb, or Psychic

Veno, BM, and Barb are very easy to find groups for.

Psychic is your basic "Oh, you don't like me? Well *PEW PEW!!!* Your dead now!" solo class, they're almost as OP as wizards.

Well, I made me a few different characters now, just to try them out. I gotten them all up in a few levels and what not.

Cleric, Veno, Psychic, and an Archer. The Veno is okay to play but I miss flying to be honest. I hate how only the Cleric can fly at beginning levels. It just seems like it takes forever to get to level 30. The psychic to me seems alright as well but do I just do a strict magic build for them or how does that work?

    Thanks,

    Dustin

Yeah, but what's the point of flying, other than getting from A to B in a straight line? The chest and kite quests can be done by jumping.

Later on everyone flies --- but only(?) Venos can run effective air->ground and air->water attacks. Probably only useful for soloing, though (and I'm actually trying to use a water pet now... pita, though). Everyone(?) else just flies from A to B, nothing more.
Slow progress, game is getting way too grindy :-( Quests I still hope to be able to do some day: FB39, General Feng

that is a good question what is the point of flying. Well for me it is just fun. I like to just fly around and explore the world and find areas etc. Me and a buddy played Flyff for quite a while back in the day, I mean like 6 years ago or so and we would just fly around and do random stuff like that it was a fun time. That is why I liked being a cleric I could fly around and explore the world from the start. My veno is now level 7 she is pretty fun to play.

    Random Question...

Does anyone actually role play on this game?

Yeah, Flyff. I was flying through the high level areas long before I could reasonably do anything there, sure. But effectively that was just a waste of time, and didn't happen a lot :-) When I was lvl 30+ in Perfect World, I was flying around a bit too, even collecting waypoints (and I don't even use teleport...) when I found some. I didn't really think "wow, I wish I could have done that at lvl 1". And it didn't even take me everywhere, because flying takes so long and PW isn't that diverse.

IMHO, Perfect World is nothing like Darkon. Sure, there's a few "wow"-places the first time you see them --- but it just isn't quite the same. Maybe the first time I went to the Tideborn areas there was a bit of a Darkonish feel to it, but that's about it. Still lacks the diversity :-)

What I'm saying is, don't base your decision on the flying. It's not that impossible to get to lvl 30, and you could even make a cleric just to fly around and look at things before your main char can get there.

If you want to play a cleric, play a cleric. Just try to not want to play a cleric just because of the flying, because the flying will get boring rather soon, and then all you have left is playing as a cleric. So you should like that too :-)
