Nirvana Armor

Hopefully looking for an Official response on these:
1) Why does Nirvana G15 only refine for the same as G14 Heavenrage Boots/Helm of Holy Punishment? My +6 nirvana pants = 422HP, my +6 Heavenrage boots = 422HP my +7 G12 TT99 armors = 437HP
2) How are the +4% Phys/Mage Resistance calculated? +4% Overall resistance? or is it only +4% of the individual armor piece itself?

1) Refine bonus is not determined only by grade. G13 Lunar Weapons refine better than G13 TT100. Grade is only good for determining what you can socket.
2) +4% equipment defense[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

2) +4% equipment defense
+4% Equipment Defense as in only the pants itself? Or Total equipment defense?
I want to know how the +4% is calculated... If it's only +4% to the pants itself then:
http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/25704
1345 x 1.04 = 1399?
578 x 1.04 = 601
Or if it's Total Equipment Value then:
15,000 x 1.04 = 15,600?
4,100 x 1.04 = 4264?
If it's Total Equipment Defense, then TT Nirvana is so much more OP than Lunar NirvanaBM PvP Guide: pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1320761

Not pants only, not total defense. Base equipment defense.
Your base equipment defense is the defense all buffs are based on. Imagine if none of your armor had that +% stat, how much defense did you gain by putting on the armor unbuffed, that's your base equipment defense. The modifier acts like an unpurgable buff similar to a sky demon pearl.
Lunar nirvana has a higher base defense and performs better the more buffed you are. TT has lower base defense but has a higher bonus multiple so performs comparatively better unbuffed and debuffed.
The higher refined your ornaments are the less the difference in base defense matters and the more TT is favored. If you refine ornaments to around +11 or +10 ornaments TT is always better.
Just use pwcalc to compare the two to see what is better for you.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Hm... that sounds good to me, although the calculations seem very complex when it also revolves around marrowing and stuff. But as they say, Phys/Mage Def give diminishing return so I'd have to say TT Nirvana is better end game..
So long as the refining of ornaments does not take away from the refinement of your armors.BM PvP Guide: pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1320761

Most people misinterpret that. Added survivability is actually linear with respect to phys/mag defense, similar to how it is to HP.
def red% = def / (40*lev + def)
survivability = hp / (1 - def red%)
= hp / (1- def / (40*lev +def))
= hp / (40* lev / (40*lev +def))
= hp * (40*lev + def) / (40*lev)
S(HP, DEF) = hp + hp*def / (40*lev)
Looking at the partial derivatives:
dS/dHP = 1 + def/(40*lev)
dS/dDEF = hp/(40*lev)
Both HP and Defense are diminishing in the sense that an item that gives a constant amount of HP or DEF (say +1000 HP or +1000 DEF) gives a much greater percent increase in survivability to say a lvl 30 character as opposed to a lvl 100.
Still doubled defense doubles the added survivability.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Yeah, relatively speaking, comparing just the TT Nirvana and Lunar Nirvana that yield the same HP refining, only the Defense is significantly different between the two.BM PvP Guide: pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1320761

I know the reason why refine is so stuffed up in PWI, reason for this is actually very simple:
PWE hired a DEV team to make PWI, and 3 years after the game was made the DEVs were unhappy with PWE, so they all left and took away their knowledge of the game.
So PWE got new DEVs in, which they fail to understand the code, that's why warsoul bow refine totally different rate compare to warsoul dagger.
That's why you can open 3-1 3-2 3-3 all at the same time, by using a bug, however the NEW DEVs doesnt understand the programing completely cant remove the bug, so a year on, bug is still there. The bug is triggered by killing/removing this one mob, if NEW DEV remove that mob, well people can open instance freely, so yea.. NEW DEV noobs.
Is this Bug legal? you bet!! I mean.. mobs are there to be killed right DEV? Is the floor mean to have holes so people can sneak around? well.. we didnt edit game file[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]"wink wink"0
