Just go with Calamities, I suggest you refine those to +3 or to +4 if you have the money.

Calamities are terrible for pve unless you like wasting time for clerics in BHs or have a cleric to grind with. Considering you're on a pve server I'd say go with hh80.

Or buy both, considering calamities aren't really worth **** anymore. Can get them for 500k on lost city.
Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

Save yourself time and money and go with Lion King Axes. You'll need them anyways.

Calas are posibly the WORST possible weapon to use when you don't have a cleric around, they will sap your hp quite fast, i also suggest to get the lion king ones and keep calas for times when you need the spike damage like PvP or TWs
I strongly suggest to choose a new weapon path if axes is your only one, you should be able to afford the masteries by now

Calamities aren't bad in PvE, unless you're normal hitting mobs. If you are then go roll a fist bm because you're doing it wrong. In PvE you want zerk to activate during your AOE mobbing, you know the reason why 50% of the axe BMs (other 50% being mainstream opinion). Also you really don't need a cleric, it's only 5% just sutra it off.

Oh but in all seriousness get lion king axes, you'll need them for zerk TT90 axes

I never had an issue with calamities, I mean 5% hp for 3 shotting 5-6 mobs in aoes is a deal.

Calamities work very well, if you are a multipath BM. You should only use axes when AOEing, which means both instances and grinding. AOEing in instances with calas is good, since you shouldn't be the one taking hits (then the damage taken from zerg doesn't matter and can easily be healed with Sutra) and if you are tanking, then the cleric will heal you (and then you won't see any real difference with your HP). Same goes with AOE grinding; your damage will be so much better and you won't take as much damage, since mobs die faster.

All in all, only reason not the get calamities might be if you are dirt poor and can't spend 500k or if you auto-attack with axes. The later reason is stupid, but I've seen people do that too.

if you just use axes to stun/aoe spam get calams +4 or so

if you actually autoattack and grind 1vs1 with them slap yourself retat or roll a barb
Gifs are hard to make work here
