... How did you draw ur design?
I just drew mine and scanned them.. but yea, I have no idea how to color them so I stood no chance :P I seen some amazing ones though and wonder how they have been made. Ya'll take design classes or smthing?

I didn't submit, but most of them most likely did it like so:
Draw the basic image.
Re-draw the image to fix up any mistakes, or errors
Designate off set area's to be certain color's (labeled 1-??)
Add a Key to show which number = what color.
Begin to lightly color in with the set color to see how it works.
If bad then above steps are repeatedly.
If good then it moves onto being colored in darker.
Finished product is then scanned, or taking a picture of.
Scan/Picture is uploaded to image hosting site, or sent in via the ticket system (idr which it was)
Make sure ticket is submitted
Done
Hope I helped0 -
I didn't draw and scan mine;
i drew mine in photoshop, But if you want to color them get photoshop
or any photo coloring program. Either way black and white is fine too! just gotta show what is and should be colored and what shouldn't be colored b:victory[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I drew and scanned mine, and since I lack any talent whatsoever on coloring, I didn't do any of the shading stuff to show which part is coloured or not. I just assumed people knew, which is a stupid thing on my part....=p
Although, maybe subconsciously I didn't want to win....I really liked my designs and I might use them again personally for something else, and it'd be really weird to see people running around with my design O.o0 -
I sketched out my ideas roughly and then used Paintshop to draw them out and color/texture them[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

So you drew them in photoshop.. Ill guess ill have to look up some drawing tutorials thenb:surrender[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
the pen tool in Photoshop can be used to create paths or lines, and then you can adjust the curves easily so you dont "need" to be a good at drawing to be artistic - just have a good eye
Tutorial on YouTube
if you are a Paintshop user (like me) the Pen tool there works pretty much the same
