Ideas to improve Archers!

Archers are the most underrated class in PWI, along with Wizards. Both of them become very good after mid lvls, and both of them need improvements, but as an Archer lover, I'm going to post my ideas about them only. You can agree or disagree, but please do not flame me. Thanks. c: Feel free to post your ideas! Also, sorry if there's already a similar thread about Archers.
Notice: I don't like PVP, so I'm only giving suggestions after my PVE experiences!
I think Archers mainly need more HP and defence.
- A long defence / magic defence buff.
Winged shell is useful in emergencies, it works like a strong defence buff. However, it poofs fast and it can be dangerous when we're killing a mob with lots of HP. I think Archers need a longer buff that gives us extra defence / m.def, because even magic classes have more defence than us at high lvls, because they get some kind of buff or healing skill (or both). :c Archers have no healing skills and no useful buffs. Unfair or unfair? We have an evasion buff but eva is a chance thing, unlike defence. It fails most of the time, sadly.
- More natural HP.
My main is a lvl73 Archer and without gear, my HP doesn't even reach 2000. I don't have a high lvl magic class, but I assume they have about the same HP. By natural HP, I mean the basic HP we have without VIT. I think the natural HP of archers should be raised by 50%. I've played many MMOs and many Archers and I can say Archers in PWI have unfairly low HP compared to Archers in other games.
- Remove melee damage penalty (PVE).
Yes, we do have melee skills. But still... only we get melee damage penalty. Why? Mage classes don't need accuracy and don't have melee damage penalty. What's up with this? Unfair much? Especially for lower lvl people, when mobs often get close to the player due to crappy damage.
I personally don't have a problem with my Archer's damage and I'm happy with the attack skills. The only skill I'd like to get improved is Stunning arrow. 100% stun chance and 5 sec stun at lvl10. Otherwise, the damage gets better after mid lvls, so I'm happy with it. I just want an improvement in survivability.

I suggest u should keep dreaming.
either you get dmg and lesser surviability or you get tons of Hp, def etc but lower dmg. If you wanna have both, refine and shard.
Its like i would say for my sin. I wanna more Hp and Deff....also maybe to be able to wear HA without loosing dex.

Melee penalty isnt that bad in PVP since most melee classes are HA and you want to use metal which has no penalty anyway. In pve it is a pain early as you said but later it because very easy to kill mobs quickly.
The main problems with archer are
- the lack of of any defense / self-heal (only class with no heal)
- evasion just stops working at high levels
- no fast skills with %weapon attack adds
- LA has too high of a STR requirement
- have the fewest skills of any class, a good deal of them are worthless DOTs including a 2spark joke of an "ultimate"
The defenses is the biggest problem. At 90+ a full citrine pure wizard in arcane armor with the same refinements and shards as a full citrine archer in LA will have more physical resist for some stupid reason.
It seems like archers defense is meant to be designed around evasion but evasion isn't implemented well in this game and stops working. You can tell they realized this mistake for assassins and gave them an additional type of evasion that works for magic too.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

wizards and archers dont need to be improved, classes are ok like this.. maybe only venos are a bit overpowered with their phoneix.
a thing that only wizards need really, is a more important role in TT, cause they dont have any actual good skill to make them really useful.
thay can only do damage, but archers and venos can do it better in HH.If you happy wanna be, against the wind you won't have to pee.

Soo much bs in this thread, there are no overpowered classes.
How the hell is a phoenix overpowered? people pay 200 bucks for it? with 200 bucks u can refine ur bow to like +8 or w/e and be overpowered too.0 -
