Venomancer's role in FC runs?

So what is their duties in there? Spark tank, bramble, AoE? Is that all or is there something more? Please explain, I would really appreciate it before I go on FC runs b:cute

    If you have a herc, you can tank some of the bosses, though it's not a must. Other than that, you've listed all that I can think of besides debuffing lol.

    Amplify damage on bosses if you feel like it, and mostly DD on bosses.Throw in your AoE when you can at the mob pulls. And if you have a hercule, you can tank a bunch of bosses in there which will allow the barb to deal more damage.

    Now, in my opinion. And this is purely MY opinion. If the venomancer has no Hecule I'd rather go with an assassin or another class. So expect a lot of people to not take you or you'll automatically be expected to own a herc to tank bosses. Oh, and one of the other reasons would be to be the chi-slave for people who need chi :P

    to me the 2 most important things are giving chi and debuffing....hercs are overrated and ya they help...but its annoying when people think venos are worthless without hercs..and ive never even played a veno lol

    Herc can tank all the bosses except the 'fragrance' boss that debuffs. And really, most bosses don't hit that hard so depending on your level you can probably use a different tank pet if you don't have a Herc- you'll just need to heal more and be able to do less DD while the pet tanks. If you don't have a Herc it's a good idea to go on a run with a Barb or BM that can tank and just test out your pet on the bosses first to see if it can handle them.

    If a Barb or BM is tanking you can actually get better dps out of a Dark Wanderer or Scorpion than a Herc. Especially the DW because apparently it has the best land pet dps w/o skills.

    Otherwise, here's some main duties, pretty much what you suspected.

    Feed sparks to the cleric so they can get BB up quickly between zhens, and to the BM so they can HF.

    On the zhens time parasitic nova so you seal the mobs as they arrive at the zhen spot, then use myriad rainbow foxform to aoe debuff and spam noxious as often as possible. Bramble rage on the genie helps as well. And amp the bosses as often as you can, only lazy venos amp 'when they feel like it'. No point in taking a veno if they're not going to bother increasing the squad's damage. Oh, and the final boss buffs itself at 20% HP or something like that, so you want to purge that off.

    There's also a spot where you kill some one-hit mobs for xp, if you use venomous you can usually get one before they disappear but not always. I never tried this, but try taking the lowest level bow and some arrows in there - it's probably quicker than using venomous and definitely quicker than using your pet or melee. Some instant cast genie atk skills would work too.

    I rarely need a veno now because of cloud eruption (genie skill). CE gives me enough time to recharge 2 sparks instantly after the first 2 are used up for BB. b:laugh, but to add more, Wizards and Archers, or any AoE/spark users will need Lending Hand if they don't have CE or chi potions.

    me are agree with what the others has said.
    just pass chi to the cleric/bm (so that the rest of the squad doesn't have to wait for them to build chi) and constantly amp/debuff the bosses.
