Problems with the forums (viewing images & subscription notification)

I'm having a couple problems with the forums. Hope you guys can help me out.

Viewing Images:
Screenshots that others (and myself) have posted disappear off the right-hand side of the thread. So I'm only able to view about two thirds of these images (on the left-hand side). This also cuts off the "quote", "edit", etc. buttons. Is there some way to fix this? Some setting I need to enable? (I've been all through my User CP and can't find anything). Or is it some kind of glitch? Other forums I visit will stretch the width of the thread so that the full image can be viewed, or automatically resize them if they're too large.

Subscription Notification:
I'm subscribed to several threads and have set them for "Instant email notification", but I'm not getting any notifications in my inbox. I've also checked spam as well, and there's nothing there either. So I'm having to come back to the forum periodically to check each thread (and try to remember the last page I viewed, which is a real pain) for new posts.
