how long does it take to download pwi?

its taking a LONG time. im still on files 5 of 17. whats the normal time to download? btw can u play pwi on window vista? im on 81%

    im on vista too lol took me about 12 hours to download, and 4 or 5 hours for the update.

    The PWI-client with all patches, is over 4.5 gb, so it will take a while yes. This depends on youre DSL-line, so theres not any direct answer on how long it should take.

    I recomend that if you got a bit slow dsl-line, that you download the patches from the pwi-site (same location as you downloaded the client), and update it manually.
    This shortened the time by half at my DSL-line :)

    To mention it again, the download speed, doesnt depend on witch OperatingSystem you are using, but the bandwich (DSL-line) you got.
    If you got a 10mbit line, it will take the same amount of time (usually) if ure downloading with a OS on Win7 or WinXP ;)

    Yes you can play on vista. I do all the time! Enjoy your game!! If you need a hand i'm on Dreamweaver server and would be happy to help/ answer questions ect.

    I didnt say that it had anything to do with my OS .. and i run on something around that speed but still it did not take 2 hours.. i formatted my computer and installed it and it took at least 10 - 15 mins thats including updates.. it was not that long

    It took me a few hours to download. If you formated then you didn't have any extra bull **** running in the background either to eat away at your bandwidth. It can also depend on how many people are downloading at the same time. I would assume that would put strain on the server?

    it could but i also have a fast computer witch makes downloading alot quicker

    Well then, lets chalk one up to your fast computer... that doesn't solve his problem though. You are likely an exception to the rule as most people will take much longer.

    You are likely using a higher speed DLS as is your friend. Probably has something to do with your location.

    it was only 3.5gig when i downloaded it, it only took me one hour.

    If you then download on Max Speed, you got aprx a 8mbit DSL-line ;)

    wow thats fast! 15 MIN! so far its taken me 3 hours on file 4 then it stopped and wouldnt work on anyother so i had to delete the files because it wouldnt go back to the instalation even after going to the website and clicking download again. SOOOOOO longstory short im doing it over again and i got 2:22:30 left for file 4

    took me 20 mins an 5 mins update, i have a crapy old school computer, . at 512 ram, i put 1 gig in it an upgraded hard drive, before took me 4 hours 30-40 mins update, an my graphic card blows to, that be upgraded soon
