A question about leveling pet skills

this is going to sound really stupid, im sure, but frankly, its not one i've spent a lot of time thinking of...

when do you know a pets' skills are ready to be leveled? and please dont say 'when you start out aggroing them', because that isnt always the case. very often i have taken a pet to Mrs.Zoo, and she will not level a pet move, when i was sure it was ready to.

is there a thread, sticky or something that lays out this info? i would certainly appreciate it!

    I found out yesterday that according to the pet Skill Tree most of the pet skills can only be learned when the pet's level is at 1, 20, 40, 60 or 80. I believe it can be learned after that if coin or spirit are not available right on that level, but that's the earliest they can level their skills.

    So for example, my lvl 60 walker can learn Bash level 4, but not level 5. For that he has to wait until 80.

    ok, that helps clear things up. its just one of those things i couldnt track down ingame, and couldnt find the right keywords here. :p

    Heh, yeah - zoologist doesn't explain that part very well. Every 20 levels (except for the 'only have two levels' skills like pounce) is the earliest you can put it on.

    The earliest I felt any need to upgrade pet skills was low 50s though.

    maybe you're lacking spirit, pet lvl or a tame book to upgrade?

    think people upgrade bash the most as a top priority but well... no-one knows your character better than yourself.
