Manditory Psychic skills?

I've been looking around and seeing a lot of skills that people suggest getting, but can anyone tell me the skills that i should definitley always have at the highest possible level? everything else i can work with i just want to know what skills i should work on maxing

    i think it depends a little of your style but here is what i level as fast as i can and use the most - aqua impact, spirit blast, black voodoo, aqua spirit, earthen spirit. i brought white voodoo and bubble of life up to lvl5 and only ocasionally lvl them when i have spare points. maybe some do not agree with me but i realised that i use them only to be safe when i aggro more than one mob and at that lvl it is enough for me. u won't get to use landslide much past the time u get high enough to bring it to 5, due to most mobs becomind ranged or magic. now i'm working on glacial shards, wich i use for control and not as an aoe. all the "soul of..." don't seem to have any effect leveling besides mana consumption and they seem to be more influenced by your soulfource and more useful in pvp, wich i don't do much. u will only have time to use torrent on bosses, so it's not of much use either. those are all the skill i got up to now(i think i went through all) and how i think of them, it's not necesarly good for u.

    dude, landslide is great against magic enemies - it interrupts their channeling. That and earthquake (I think that's the name of the faerie skill?) are awesome against magic users. Ranged enemies are still annoying though.

    Not to sound critical, but a lot of what you're saying is the bias of low-leveled experiences, so lemme give a higher-leveled perspective.

    White Voodoo is a must max by the time you're 6x, assuming you don't max it sooner, which a lot of us did. (I maxed it not too long after I maxed Black Voodoo). There are gonna be times where you'll need every ounce of those +66 defense levels to make it out alive. Dungeon squads especially; because in a BH you can do your job perfectly but still be at a death risk because of a foolish teammate. White Voodoo has saved me from the stupidity of my squad members so many times it's not even funny. And on the rare occasion where I make a potentially fatal error myself, White Voodoo helps me correct it.

    As for landslide becoming less useful later... I really don't get what made you think that, tbh. Not only does it knockback a monster, but it interrupts its channeling with 100% success. Once you get experienced with using it, you learn to recognize the right moment to move in to use it to stop a magic mob from channeling a spell. My Landslide is maxed and I use it frequently. You can't underestimate it, especially in areas where mobs love spawning right beside you. Between my high damage (I'm pure mag) and my Landslide, its pretty darn rare for any mob outside of a dungeon to get a hit on me. Also, my Landslide does enough damage in PvP that I can knock off a bit over half the HP of non-robe wearers my level or a bit higher. Pretty good for a 0 chi skill, no? Useful for getting that final strike against an approaching BM. It is risky though, since you may eat a stun if you time it wrong.

    Also, to say that the Soulforce skills are only good for PvP is just silly. I use mine all the time in PvE ad PvP.

    (That being said, most of the Soul of ____ skills are left at level one, and that's not because of usefulness; That's because most of them have the exact same effect at all levels. Soul of Retaliation and Soul of Silence appear to be the only ones that actually improve between skill levels. And its not necessarily a priority to level those past one too soon either)

    As for Torrent and Sand Trap... Wait until you find yourself alone (for whatever reason) running to your squad in a dungeon after turning in your BH, or maybe the others wiped and you still have a mob trying to eat you. You'll either be running for dear life from monsters that are typically faster than you (many of which attack from a range anyway), or you'll learn that Torrent and Sand Trap still deal their normal damage while White Voodoo is on. Getting the hint? b:surrender

    DoT (damage over time) skills like Torrent and Sand Trap aren't immediate priorities, but they are VERY handy to have in tight spots later.

    All of what he says is true. And on the note of retaliation lemme say it was the 1st of my level 59 skills to max. I can't tell you how many times an archers Aimed shot would have 1 shoted me if I had not had this skill up.

    And like ryukage said Soulburn is one of your best skills to use for single boss dps.
    The attack speed of certain bosses may tip the scales there but in most cases Soulburn will do the most bang for your buck at your level.

    What about those skills aqua spirit and earth spirit? are those worth getting at all? or shoudl i leave them.

    I think aqua spirit and earth spirit get a little expensive ( at least for me >_>")

    But they increase your damage, so I figured, why not b:chuckle

    so here's what i have ill appreciate any constructive criticism on it.

    lv 10 - aqua impact
    lv 10 - spirit blast
    lv 10 - black/white voodoo
    lv 10 - landslide
    lv 10 - aqua cannon
    lv 10 - bubble of life
    lv 9 - glacial shard

    and lv 1 for everything else. what skills are important for me to lv up next? im lv 74 btw

    Been lvling Soul of Vengeance..its at lvl 4 and just realised by going on ecatomb nothing changes from lvl 1-10 except mana cost and range..pointless skill?

    Been lvling Soul of Vengeance..its at lvl 4 and just realised by going on ecatomb nothing changes from lvl 1-10 except mana cost and range..pointless skill?

    For now its pointless to raise Soul of Vengeance beyond Lv1 because the effect doesn't change. It just increases the range from which you can buff other people with it. Which isn't a big deal.

    If we ever get Sage/Demon version of SoV (or if the skill gets an update) then it may be worth leveling it more. Same for Soul of Stunning. Until something new happens to the skill, its only worth lv1.

    Soul of Silence should be maxed at end-game levels. Once you manage to pimp your soulforce, the extra 0.9 seconds of silence from the other 9 levels of the skill will start to look very attractive, and you'll have a ton of spirit to blow by then anyway. (...Speaking of which, has anyone figured out the formula for the success rate?)

    Soul of Retaliation is a definite must max, as it will severely reduce the damage from the attack it reflects, quite possibly saving your life in the process. Not to mention that it reflects the status effect back too. (Let a Wizard be silly enough to use Undine Strike on you while SoR is up. Lulz will follow.) Doesn't have to be maxed ASAP, but I'd recommend investing some in it when you feel you can spare the points.

    max psychic will and earth vector asap...psychic will has made me lawl numerous times on archers, bm's, clerics(for the peeps that dont know: against plume shot), and barbs. and yea i agree with maxin out all of the above...exept the soul of ____ skills lol

    Why do you have to chose some skills over other? I hold my psychic at each level until all skills up to that level are maxed out. Then I advance to the next level and rinse and repeat. To prevent premature leveling, I dump the extra xp into genies or sometimes just do suicide missions until all xp is at 0%.

    I know that there is a big rush in many players mind to level as fast as the can, but IMO, it is better to have a strong level 50 than a weak level 70.
