TT mat steal is bannable?

We run a TT1-2 this morning. 1 BM Subber & banker, 1 BM Tank (sadly T_T), 3 Clerics and 1 archer.
we did full run but Soul Banisher.

when we finished dimentora, the Banker was his first time at splitting (we had to help him and tell him how to do it), splitted about 50% of the mats and then DCed. After few minutes he came back and DCed again after 3-4 seconds (like seeing we were standing there waiting for him), and then never got back.

Really this pisses everyone off and its very unfair. Clerics wasted tons of MP for BB/RB/IH, Tank (remember, he was BM) wasted lots of charm ticks and jaoizi plus repairs, and the archer wasted lots of teles to gather the squad.

The thing is we all get negative balance but the banker who got rich.

Can GMs do anything to this type of things? should i submit a ticket? can we get our mats back? i think its like scamming on catshops (say you're selling best lucks for 2 milion when its a token of luck, or same with wines and apo pots).

You should really only run TT with your friends or people you trust to avoid this.

nah not bannable but it dont look like a steal but if it was just find out what guild he was in and talk to leader or just name shame him in server.

    Bannable? No.

Drop thieves are not bannable, they are just widely disliked by the server population. Best thing to do?

    1) If you really feel the need to, tell the server about this guy. Just remember, if that was an honest disconnection (disconnections aren't always five second things, you know, and times I've been disconnected for a whole day because the internet providers had some **** go down and had to fix it) then you're going to look bad yourself. If it wasn't, he'll end up on the blacklists of a few people, and has less of a chance to get a squad.

    2) For the more sensible option, don't squad with randoms, and just go with groups of friends and faction members who you can be pretty sure you can trust.

Ive had it where ive got the error report bug and tried to log back in .

Loged in and DC's straight away .

Had to do a file check and that didnt work yet ive was able to loog in ok on an alt.

Always try talking to the person first it could be an honest problem .

as already stated, only squad with friends/faction members to avoid this to happen

be the bank yourself if you dont feel you can trust others, but remember, they might feel the same way with you

btw, Airyll, nice new sig :D didnt get chance to say it till now :P

Everybody is so eager to flame... I ran dungeons after which I dc'ed and I had people being calm, waiting till I got back to them when I could. Some sent me mails to remind their names and what I'm supposed to get to them in case I messed up the name. There were also times when I afk'ed while delivering quests and I've been threatened with bans, and omg, what I heard about myself.... b:shocked

So..., first, try to politely resolver the matter. There are still scammers, ofc, and when you meet them, you need to let the world know about them, but don't do it too fast...

Yes, TT runs are best done with friends... just for safety...

This is the reason I always bank when running with randoms. I simply don't trust people unless I've known them for a long time.

yeah, that's what i'm doing.... i sent him a mail telling him what does he have to give to each one of us.

I'll wait few days. If he doesn't give the mats, then i'll WC few times shaming him and naming his faction (so they may think on kicking him) on my server, so he won't steal anyone more in TTs.

This TT drama will never end, just because the game designers (or the ones that customized TT in various game versions) never thought this thoroughly. I guess the idea was " let's make a near impossible instance (for lvl) , that will take hours to complete, that will drop **** and make all gear for all classes based on that **** drop. Nice one.

Having a TT based on something like Tokens that EACH squad members gets (kinda' like Tome fragments in RB) and a NPC to exchange those tokens for gear directly or mats would be more fair. True, barbs and clerics have costs for repairs and mana, and I agree to some extent they should get something like 10% more (each squad member gets 10 tokens, barb and cleric get 11. Don't give me bulls about repair for barb, I've tanked 2-1 and came out with a 20k bill. That will NOT entitle a barb to have the first choice on mats, but since ppl are desperate to have a barb in a TT squad they just take whatever they want knowing everybody will just shut up) . Give bonus for squad complete, like in RB when all need to be at start for beans, same in TT, all at end for some bonus tokens. You can solo TT, no problem, but you won't get as much reward as doing it in a squad. Make a 25% incentive for squad finishing TTs ...
Make tokens trade able and there u go, stealing problem solved. Beside, ppl will go to TT knowing they need X number of runs for Y mats for the gear, try multiple times for 4 sockets/2 sockets and stuff like that. More Charm burn, more Cash in PWI pocket.

But hey, what do I know?...
    b:bye

Yea,you should run with faction mates you trust and friends.I now don't really like random squading since it's almost impossible to establish contact after that encounter since I play on the other side of the world from America

Far as i know making a deal and then breaking it IS BANNABLE.......

...........but you have to prove it, which unless u think ahead is near impossible. take screens when u make the agreement, and as they get each mat, and as they split them. its a lot of annoyance but if u are running with randoms it is best

dont feel so bad about it, cause this game have so many type of people..
you will see more of the worse side of people then the good..
cause there are more people out there that dont give a **** about other.
its me me and me only..

I for one have ran many TT and quite few times that the BANKER say he / she
going to sell the gold mats and split with the squad.
    2 weeks later, nothing
    3 weeks later, nothing
even when I send a Pm he/she just say its not sold yet..
    after a month and nothing..
Some of them dont ever answer.
Now do you really want to bother with such person again, you know they are lying.

There are about good 80% of the player in this game are kids and stupid people.

I had the same thing happened several times - likely everyone had experienced it at least once. On one run a gold mat dropped on Astral and Ancient Evil but the person never contacted me back...all I ended up getting was one forsha arm for the entire run because I am an archer. The thing is, I knew half of those people in the squad, except the banker and one of the DD, so you may not always get a full squad of people you know unless you make the squad yourself. I guess those TT bankers are the kids, and we were the stupid people who trusted them lol b:chuckle. Now, I'm part of the 20% who don't do TTs - if they want an archer, go ask the bm to get a bow.

never did TTs except for the cultivation quests.
Found it a utterly waste of time as wizard. Can't solo it to worth it and on splits I always get the short stick.
So I spent my time farming mats/herbs and selling them for good prices. At one moment I was able to make about 700-800k/hour farming. Enough to finance my gear. Then Anni packs came out and everything changed ...

It's called ninja looting. It happens in every MMO. You'll just have to get used to it. Blacklist the baddies and never run with them again.
Bladestorm lets you spin around like a carnival ride and do damage. Not using it is almost like having a move called Confetti Rocket Power Leap and saving it for "emergencies"
