Try to Leap quest problems

I took the Try to Leap quest from the elder in Etherblade city and I figured out how to get to the chest of trials but when I jump to it my character stops in midair and I doublejump but can't move forward. Has anyone else had this problem and how do I fix it?

    Just try it again. This is known as the "rubberband" glitch, and have not been fixed since like... April last year I remember.
