Auto Path Upgrade

Today while I was auto-pathing on my mount going to NPC I needed to go to (like 20mins run on mount) I came back from afk only like 20 ft. (or m, however it is in games) away from where I started stopped in-front of a tree.

So it got me thinking. For next, or future updates, they should implement a new auto=pathing system like in Sword of the New World. That avoids trees, walls, goes around holes, etc.

This would make TRAVELING, and WQ A WHOLE LOT MORE EASIER and make auto=pathing actually useful, especially when you wanna browse or go afk while you're going on a long walk.

    Yeah it is annoying but then what happens when you end up running into higher lvl agro monsters I mean theirs really no way around them. Clerics I found have it easy because they can fly to the spot the only problem I found they had were the mountains. I find if you don't have the time to run around doing quests just lvl the other way which is by grinding.

    get an areogear prob solved & although this idea would be handy ive heard it would make boting or wut ever you call it easyer

    Then we would be able to catch more botters easier, get them banned and outta the game.

    This would be great for people who wanna go from arch all the way to Secret Passage, or other places. I know about the high level aggro mobs, its happened to my chars in Sword of the New World, but its still the same case if you auto-path without the auto avoid stuff. Plus, I don't think anyone would try to auto-path while they're in an area full mobs that can kill them. If they do, all I have to say is "WooooooW"

    @anwynd, everyone has wings, and not many people have 1h to fly all over the place. Everyone knows you can fly and avoid things.

    No thanks. I want me some bug fixes, not useless features.

    Magic defense buff is glitched. Air pet + ground mob = glitch. Just to name 2 major bugs of the top of my head.

    edit: There is also flashing black screen in tideborn. Naked underwater. Im pretty sure rubber band issue is still here.

    Maybe for you, but in Heavens Tear I've noticed no bugs. And noticed a lot of people complaining that the auto-path is useless. So no, it would not be a useless feature if updated.

    I already mentioned not all of us want to spend 1h just flying. Sometimes we don't even have that much time to play.

    well you can either teleport. (if you really don't has time....)
    or....
    you would rather spend 1 hr 30 minutes running on a land mount? (since bodies of water stop you and steep mountains be all over the place......which usually either rubberband glitch you if you try to jump too much or take longer to get past)

    Auto pathing works great on Ether Saga Online which is also a Perfect World game, so I have no clue how it works great on there without hitting trees and buildings, but it's horrible on this game.

    So this is the reason why RPKer tend to gather at the top altitude...

    Oh well, at least the bad autopath give us a bit more coin sink, so the economy is not all that messed up.
