Patch Download Sizes

Would it be possible to include the size of the patches IN the thread that you're declaring what will be updated, and the like?

It seriously takes a toll on my bandwidth and pretty much irritates me how many times a patch comes out for this game.

Didn't it used to be once a month or less? It seriously does my head in...

I need to know the sizes so I can allocate the amount of GB's into specific areas.

It would help a crapload.

And please, limit the patch updates. It's pretty useless... just do it all at once, not every week. -_-

um incase you didnt notice.. there is a lot of stuff broken in this game so WEEKLY patches ARE needed.

the patchaes are about 5-200mb on average and taht isnt big, if you getting problems through your ISP through downloading that much i suggest you switch ISP.

point of my post: its not going to happen, deal with it

Point is just to include the patch size into the post, it isn't that hard! b:chuckle

Edit: Also, if I knew how much I was downloading the patch for, I wouldn't be barking about this.

As for "a lot of broken things": LOL.

o ok well here u go

go herehttp://pwi.perfectworld.com/download and download the most recent patch. On the launcher make sure u deselect auto patch in an options somewhere. After a patch comes out the launcher will tell you ur client is out of date and 2 options will come up "automatic" or "cancel" hit cancel. Go to the top of the launcher and click manual. Browse for the .cup (patch) file you just downloaded and it will install. restart the launcher and everything is up to date.

With my connection even a small patch could take over an hour in auto patch and some of the larger ones could take 3-4. I only use manual and the last patch took 6-7 mins to DL and abt 30 seconds to apply.

ummmm why? for one, if you're on dial up, it's time to upgrade. unless your'e on vacation or something.... Other then that the download should be MAYBE 20 minutes at the most..... I don't see why you would care how big the file size is, unless your hard drive is getting so crammed you barely have any room left. And if that's the case, time for a new one. On that note... allocating GB's??? you hit confirm when the update window appears.. it downloads and goes into the corresponding folders.. what the heck do you have to allocate?

Rofl. I had to re-type this post because the first one was anal. b:chuckle

Okay, well, I have cable internet and its capped, I can't do anything about that because the interwebs in my country is ALL capped. And no, I'm not moving to another country for their interwebs.

Yes, I have to allocate internet GB's into what I need to download for one month. You know, plan it out? Also, when I download, I sometimes go over the limit of how much I should have downloaded in a day: "You've just used 2GB in the first two days of the month, wth?", and I get tossed around for that, because, if I'd had known where the HELL I spent all those GB's, then I wouldn't get so much flack from that.

And no, I will not add more GB's to my internet cap. I'm getting a fair amount of GB for a good enough price.

So, again, including the file size would be CONSIDERATE.

    Thank you so much! >_<
I'll be sure to test this out when the next patch comes. :)

Lol, mine doesn't take any longer than 20 minutes in auto patch but when I first downloaded the game, it took over 18 hours... It was crazy. But at least THEN I knew how many GB's I was downloading.
Downloaded half one month and half the next. It worked out very well. :)

    Thanks again, Maragon. ^^

You've proven to me that not everyone is mean. :/
