cannot have the same res as my desktop?

coming back to play perfect world again and in the options its saying that im not allowed to have the same resolution as my desktop in PW? i find that abit odd is there is a solution to this and changing the resolution in a .ini or text file? b:shocked

    You can set your window resolution to your desktop resolution inside the game but not outside the game. Or, i can... maybe some video drivers do not support that so they do not let you set that resolution without the drivers running the game?
