well im not sure what skills to max out or level again..this time im gonna tell u my skills and levels

side note:if i dont mention a skill it means its worthless and dosnt deserve leveling.

hailstorm:dont have it

dragons breath:1

black ice dragon:3
mountain seize:1
fire mastery:1
water mastery:1
earth mastery:dont have it

so what skills do i upgrade? i have lots of coins and 845k spirit.

    honestly ive never used sandstorm during reg mob fights(only on bosses or fb mobs)

    ok.. i would max out my masteries.. being that, even if u dont use sandstorm.. im sure u use stone rain now and then.. and the extra % increase u get from the masteries increases the power of ur refined weps. So u would b doing a **** load of more damage with them maxed.. (i think)

    also.. i wouldnt really lvl my ults until i get my smaller nukes lvled first (sandstorm, glacial snar, divine pyro), being that i can spam them more often then my ults. Even if u dont use sandstorm much... when u use ur sutra combo.. it is one skill u would want to add to the mix. like in the bh run.. when doing qainji or whoever. But even then.. if ur not planning on pvping yet.. at least get it to lvl 5!

    lvl up the phoenix.. i dont kno about u, but i find myself using that A LOT when questing. Just b/c of the fast channeling, great power, and push magic mobs out of ur range to cancel their channeling b:chuckle (i use this more than stone rain, sandstorm, and a lot of other nuking attacks)

    i ended up lvling up my fire shield, b/c i usually tanked drake in bh59. plus, even if the the hp effect is low, the added fire def. is well worth the skill (not mandatory tho.. i just maxed! the thought of extra def. gets me happy XD)

    and lastly, i read in so many forums that mages should lvl up there only healing skill, just in case the cleric is having keeping up with the heals. i just LOLed at this all the time.. said (name) must be a fail cleric.. then moved on. But being in squad where everyone is going down and cleric is trying to keep every1 alive. Even my sutra--> lvl 1 healed the extra's (meaning not tank) almost back to full health! that way the cleric only had to keep tank alive b:pleased! after that.. i lvled my heal up XD (b:surrender i sry to every who i laughed at for saying that, and the clerics i called fail for needed help healing sometimes)

    p.s. i lvled Dragon breath for TTruns and bhs. when im charmed and tired.. i put this up and go afk b:chuckle (well.. depends who the tank is.. i stole aggro with this **** a few times lol! Seriously.. i came back i was dead XD)

    p.s.s. or p.p.s XD... im aware that the phoenix is considered a nuking skill.. i just wanted to put it in its own category for this forum to explain y i would lvl it up ;)

    No sandstorm dude ur crazy....

    Btw im getting my aoes today besides the skill that gives us free chaneling should i get the others now? or leave for later lvls?

    SO explain to me why you are lvling your ulti's (2spark AoE's), but not the only other AoE you have, hailstorm (the only nonspark AoE with range).

    Also why you are lvling your ulti's when you haven't even lvled your normal skils yet. And don't tell me because you use ulti's alot, cause that's impossible for: sprark cost (unles you spam both chi apocs and chi genie skils, you simply can't), and AoEing 5 mobs your lvl is suicide if you can't actually kill them all, and you can't with only 1 AoE (and no, multiple ulti's don't count as you can't use them all with chi cost)

    Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.

    If you quested and grinded like a normal person, you wouldn't be completely in the dark about how to play a wizard. It's come to be expected that by the time you reach 70, you would at least have an inkling about how to play your class. Seriously.

    i know how to play my class i dont level masteries because at my lvl you cant feel the differnce in the damage

    Oxymoron much? Go on, level your masteries then tell me that they don't make a difference.

    Funny that this is coming from the one that was having a hard time with the easiest quest mobs in the game, and had to oracle to get past them.

    First, you are on a PvP server. Sandstorm is your main PvP nuke pre-89, dont be such a carebear.

    Second, masteries make a HUGE difference. I remember leveling my masteries at 78 from 1 to 10. I was LA back then and i gained 1k more damage. Now its like 2k and even with my sage water mastery, my gush does about the same damage as my stone rain.

    Question from a Newbie who hasn't yet used an Oracle:

    At what levels should I be looking to pour some SP in to my Masteries? 60s? 70s?

    I'm only just maxing out my initial 'poke' skills and my earth and ice shields, so I guess there's still some time yet before I start with the Masteries.

    Also, is there generally a Mastery that you prioritise over the other two?
