OKay..so about 4 weeks ago.. a faction mate gave me a plat charm cuz these noobs were killing me, he gave it to me without exspecting payment at all. So I knew he was good person. it takes me a long time to get money...so I saved up 70NZD to put 50 gold in..2 weeks later I FINALLY have the money to pay him off..I was so excided i invited him to squad and dropped 4 mill on the ground...picked it up and got 2 mill back as I should have..then i noticed he was dead..NOW...
...HE NEVER GOT HIS 2 MILL...and I didn';t get the full 4 mill back...

I sent a ticket a week and a bit ago..and I still don't have that 2 mill...nor does he...

can anyone tell me WHY I lost 2 mill because I squad dropped to a dead guy? it should have spit no?

I don't understand why you would drop money and then pick it up instead of just trading him..

Easier...? Don't have to fly/tele and stand within like 5 meters of them. Can trade them from DWP to 1k....

GMs have nothing to do with anything except the moderation of in-game issues. They are not part of the development staff.

I don't understand why you would drop money and then pick it up instead of just trading him..

That's pretty common. I do that with people all the time... usually for friends and people I know though. If it's for trading something I use the trade dialogue.

when 2 people go to pick something up and click it at the same time... poof its gone?
Looking at the chatbox you don't see if anyone got it... has anyone noticed that?

How in the hell does this make any sense? Easier to DROP coins for someone because in order to trade you'd have to actually go to them? You'd have to go to them to DROP THE COINS AT THEIR FEET!

REALLY simple way to avoid stupid **** like this (or avoid people like me picking stuff up that idiots like this DROP) is to USE TRADE! Unless your'e too lazy to hit three buttons.

By the way i dont' think GM's will help considering you DROPPED IT. Hell they dont' even have the ability to roll a toon back to give them back their gear if they're ****. That is if they even RESPOND to a ticket...... my faction leader was **** about a month ago by a guy that impersonated a GM. THEN the guy pranced around Arch saying he did it, my leader had it in the log, sent in screenshots, and THE GUY IS STILL NOT BANNED! b:angry

lol. You sure do rage, perhaps it's because you don't understand very well. Say, you owe someone 1m coin. You squad them, drop 2m coin and then pick it back up. They receive 1m, you receive 1m. 1m is paid. I can be inside an instance, drop party, squad someone, drop the coin and pick it back up and rejoin squad before my timer has even hit 15 seconds.

Sometimes you need to transfer coin immediately, that's how you do it.

    Understand now?

So... unless i'm completely braindead now after staying up so long... Seem slike he's saying it's easier to drop coins, instead of flying to the person and trading. And there's another thing i forgot.. that last part. Can TRADE from DWP (Dreamweaver port?) to !k Streams? huh?????? last time i checked u can't trade across the map.

Edit: Btw u DO realize caps'ing letters is used for more then jsut "yelling" right? Like getting your point across as in stressing certain words? I wasnt' raging, least not till the very least part about the **** of my faction leader. I'm just kind of tired of seeing the same old ****

-Help i dropped stuff and somone else picked it up instead of the person i WANTED to pick it up...
-Help i dropped something for a friend and it vanished (more liek the other person waited too long to pick it up, or they were in best performance mode or lagging and didnt' SEE the person swoop down and snag it).

Seriously..... you wanna give someone something, TRADE. Dropping **** on the ground is just idiotic.

Trade items, no. But dropping coin while squaded, then picking it back up to split it, DOES work from anywhere on the map.

Obviously you didn't read what you wrote that I actually responded to. I'll post it again so you can read what you wrote:

    1) Sometimes you don't have the time to go meet someone to trade them money.

    2) Trading money requires you to perform several more steps. Duh.

    3) You state "You'd have to go to them to DROP THE COINS AT THEIR FEET!", which obviously shows that you have no clue what I explained to you in my previous post.

Yes, apparently you need some sleep. I can transfer coins to anyone, from any part of the map or in any instance TO any other part of the map or any other instance just by squading them, dropping coin and picking it up. I don't need to rush to a teleoporter, mailbox or meet them to open a stupid trade box just to transfer coins.
-Help i dropped stuff and somone else picked it up instead of the person i WANTED to pick it up...

Nobody can pick it up until it goes random after 20-30 seconds. If you drop something you have that much time to pick it up before anyone else can. Is this too adult a puzzle for you to comprehend?

When trading coin, I use this method all the time. It's quite possible your friend got that 2m coin, but either doesn't realize it, or is purposely trying to get more outta ya. It "is" possible that due to your friend being dead, he may have not revived the coin, but I kinda doubt that.

The only thing is that if he was dead, then surely all the four million would have returned to it's owner?

I have to agree with everybody else saying he probably got the two million. I don't really see it disappearing into the abyss for no apparent reason, so perhaps he just didn't realise he got the coin?

Yeah if he's dead it could have returned to it's owner as well. I'm not sure if it did/does that, but I would understand if it did.

From what I remember of coin sharing in parties, generally a dead member gets discounted from the share. So in a squad of three people, the dead person isn't counted and coin is split between only two. The coin still ends up going to a player of some description, I don't think the game eats the share of the dead player.

I could be mistaken. I'll have to somehow try and test this to check it out.

I must say I 100% agree with Alasen, if you want to give someone money/items or whatever: TRADE!

Just dropping stuff randomly on the ground just because its SO much work with trading dosen't really feel like a satisfying answer. If you drop stuff on the ground and it get lost or some other player grabs it then you can only blame yourself and your lazyness. The GM's cant go round taking care of stuff like that then less work would be done.

Trading is the safer option, but when it comes to trading coin in this way there really is nothing wrong with it.

Remember, in a squad, when you drop an item there is a set time limit before anybody outside of that squad can pick it up. Sure, it's risky to trade coin this way if you have lag, but the honest truth is that coin isn't going to be on the ground for five seconds before you pick it up again.

As far as coin trading goes, it's a very fast and easy way of getting coin from oner person to another without having to fly all across a map to reach them.

    Something smells here.

I can confirm that if a player dies, the coin gets split up between everyone else in the squad without vanishing. So if it was just OP and his friend, then OP should have received all 4 mil again if his friend was actually dead.

Of course, if the friend wasn't really dead or wasn't paying attention, they'd have got the 2 mil without realizing it possibly.
