Wizard or Psychic?

I don't have to much experience with them both my wiz and psychic 20 and under so have no played to much but my opinion is

Wiz

Great high level skills and aoe skills

Psychic

Strong attacks

really i don't know either them well to much but can say 1 thing about wiz it can die alot i never use my charms out every character i have but when di my wiz had to so if up for that con its a good choice

Ive tried both classes and clearly stuck to my wizard.

Wizard have a range of weapons to use and have alot more skills to help with leveling. The 59 skills are awesome for looks and damage.

My Psychic only got to level 25 before I got bored. From level 1 to 29+ you basically have 2 skills to spam with moderate damage as they only have 1 weapon type to use they can't maximise damage by switching weapons. Psychic has been compared as the fist user of the casters, lower damage but cast faster.

I personally think that wizards are better because I can drop mobs easy and BH runs are fast.

I've played both. My psychic's level 87 and I noticed a few things...

1) The transition was smooth for me. Psychics have elements of wizard in them, including the water/earth elemental spells. I guess you can say that they are wizards with faster channeling.

2)Faster channeling isn't always a good thing however--wizards have the mana pool to handle the mana costs of the spell (wellspring ftw). Psys on the other hand...well, mine has over 8k mp, but even the heal at level 10 is like 600 mp--grinding/questing is hell unless I have concentrate orbs. However, because of the faster channeling, **** dies just as fast.

3) I live a lot more on my psy. I can literally count with my fingers how many times I've died on my psychic. Whereas on my wiz, I can count with my fingers, toes, and about 10 other people's fingers and toes. Yes it's that serious. Although, I will admit that my 46296329649237696 deaths as a wizard has played a role in my survivability on my psychic.

4) While a wizard's dot's are not the best, a psychic's dot's hurt. Like a lot. On regular mobs, they do 1.3k a tick (haxxxxx). In PvP, not sure how much, but I used both dot's on a barb and he was dead really fast. Best part--no matter if a psy has on black or white voodoo...the dot's do full damage. Haxxxxx.

5)Another similarity is that while wizzies have stone barrier (constant phys def booster), a psychic has white voodoo (defense level booster at the expense of attack). While I won't kill as fast as a wizard with white voodoo on, they won't hurt as much either. On the flip side, psys have black voodoo, and with it on, they can hit pretty effing hard. Granted, not as hard as a wizard, and without it, psys will never hit as hard as a wizard, but still...owww!

So will I keep my wizzie? Or will I keep my psy?

I love my wizzie. That's my first love and you never get over your first love. However, I want to really compare damage and the like for an end game psychic. Hence, she's going to be leveled to at least 100.

i know alot of ppl think wiz and psy is the same thing and wonder whast better in dmg. well its not


wiz and psy isnt the same at all wiz is for more aoe tw stuff it has the best dmg number wise in the game and psy cant and wont ever beat it


psy is faster its good for pve but its really pvp if u look at all his skills i got both and i can say its 2 diff game styles just decide what u want more and go look at their skills

now that I opened map3 I wish I was a BM... f wizard, f psy, BM and map3 grind FTW.
