An Extremely Sexual Game?

I've been playing this game for a whopping.... 3 days, so far. And today (for some unknown reason), I decided to play the entire time completely zoomed in (so it looks like 1st person). And there's 2 things I noticed:
1. There's a lot of detail into structures (which normally people would say "duh", but i have a crappy computer and need to stay on performance mode to do anything productive)
2. All the woman have at least 50% of their bodies showing
Is this a bad thing? Heck no. But I'm starting to get creeped out. I mean, there has to be a lot of horny guys playing right now >.> Look at the teleporter NPCS, only thing covering them is vines. I'm starting to question whether people blaming it on venos not being able to change gender as a justification of being female - No you sick perv! you're just a freaking female cause the game creators can make hot bods! - I bet 1/2 the time they're just drooling all over their screens.
Anyone else share similar opinions/

Just because some characters are showing skin doesn't mean it's sexual, in my opinion. Some people may have gone far beyond with body sizes but then, I don't know. As a girl, I don't really notice or care about those things. o-o[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I don't think that this is a "Extremely sexual" game, even though i do agree that there are many suggestive themes in this game like the veno "jiggle", or what you said about the teleporter, or even female characters wearing LA lol. (coming from a guy playing a veno XD) i think that its just how the game is made, just like some amines (just look at Rangiku from Bleach, or Tsunade from naruto. just a few examples) but personally i don't oggle my character, that is a little too over the top.

Agree with the OP, it's terrible! Why, I can't tank for 2 minutes without admiring the jiggle on the veno behind me! Luckily, it's easy to use hotkeys with one hand...

I play male chars 'cause that's what I always play if I have the option. My BM looks just like me. I hate being hit on yeah but that's sooooooo not my point. The veno I have but don't play anymore actually has a fairly classy set of fashion (the ballroom dress? forgot).
However, I DO know of a couple girls who play male chars to avoid being hit on by the horny kids who DO play this game.
Guys in general will reply that they either...
A) Don't feel comfortable playing female chars in general (my case);
Play female chars because they look nice.
Hot, probably for some. Not for me because of obvious reasons stated above. Nice, well my veno looks nice. Doesn't mean I find her hot. O_o;;;. Nor do I find my male chars hot for that matter.

TBH I knew some guys like that back on another game. Thankfully, I've yet to have extended contact with them in PWI. In the other game they were just nearly unavoidable if you wanted to hang out with English-speaking people -_-;;.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Actually, video games in general are like this. Look at any game with a rating of "T" or more. Almost all female characters in games there days are like this. That's because the majority of video game players are male. Even if more and more females are playing these days, males still hold the majority. So this game isn't anything special when it comes to that kind of thing.
And not all guys are drooling over their female characters (although, there probably are a few somewhere out there b:surrenderb:lipcurlb:sweat). I'm a straight male with a female character as my main. For the most part, I play with my game screen fully zoomed out, so my character's looks are mostly a non factor in game play.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

On the history before these days most MMO player actually what you were calling nerd. (those who spent most of their time reading book or things that for active people were boring)
At that time they were the one called hardcore player.
These days pretty much every kind of people might play MMO, and lower number of hardcore players. These also change how MMO designed.
On old days they make MMO quiet complex on the story and need more than just patience to finish the game.

A lot of the ads I see on other sites for PWI actually feature sexy women. Because you don't get male players with male chars, or worse: cute male characters. So it's either in terms of badassery or sexy women. It's basic marketing.
Same reason why female characters have more fashion than males on PWI: the women love it, they have something to wear; the men love it, they have something to stare at.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

im a guy and i agree alot of games do this to get attention and it's wrong, if the creators are desprite for women to look as such they should go get girl friends who dont dress as in the game.0

My only complaint is the 'little girl' Teleporter quest from Lost. I think it's level 3 you get it? Not sure, but why couldn't they have just used the little girl NPC design??? I looked for a little girl and got a twenty year old-looking stripper.0 -

I don't really notice those kind of things unless I"m practically slapped in the face with it (ie, someone who maxed the bust size and the like).
As far as I'm concerned PW is a game. I play to have fun and I have both male and female characters. I choose the gender based on which seems to fit the particular class better.
Overly sexual? If it weren't for the fact that I can't say the names of any competitor's game then I'd list every single MMO, RPG, fighting game, and any other game that has characters in a list for you to check out.

As somebody as already said, sex appeal sells. While there are more and more female gamers playing games like MMOs, the majority of the player base is still presumed as male, and this is why the artwork for the women of PWI continues to consist of half dressed women. Men just like that kind of thing. Sex appeal attracts your audience.
As somebody has also said, women have a lot of fashion choices on this game. Actually, in real life, I am not a fashion person. I don't give a damn what is supposed to be trendy because I like clothes that fit and are comfortable and do their damn jobs.
... Yet I am an absolute sucker for fashion on this game. 10 million saved up for a really cool item? But then there's this piece of really nice fashion that works extremely well with the fashion I already have and I just have to have it because for some reason I like to look pretty when I play this game. Go figure. It's not because I like to oggle my own character, hell no, I just like to have lots of pretty fashion that I can wear whenever I want to.
The fashion in this game appeals to both the men [who want to stare at venos jiggly bewbs] and to the women [who want to wear things that they like]. It's a win/win for the company because, in all honesty, there aren't that many people in game who don't care to stare and don't care to have any fashion.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
