Adults Please?

Most kids don't like to be called kids. This thread is a prime example.

I have friends who's below 18, and I have those over. Personally I am 18. I've met an 15 year old n00b asking if I wanted to date him(and other things that would be cencored here), and I have a 15 year old bestfriend(Graviora) who acts twice as mature as I ever will. So does her boyfriend most of the time.

I don't think you have a flipping clue what players are like here. You met two, and say you have met them all. I have met a pervert or two, but the majority is nice mature players.

Okay then.

I've met some players in their thirties who are as mature as my 9 year old cousin. Want to befriend them, just because they're 18+?

There is no such thing as "mature" in this so called world we live in, so I doubt you will finding any in this game.

There are a lot of adults in this game. I am 31, and belong to a faction that recruits only 20+ in age. So all of my friends are adults too.

I know what you mean though. I still come across a lot of immature and rude people that I end up blacklisting.

OUCH..... I'm sorry you have that perception.

A new level 3 faction I'm part of called "AdultsUSA" just started a couple weeks ago and is full of "mature" adults. I have not been part of a good faction before this one.

If you are on Harshlands server and are tired of being in a faction with "immature" people, just PM me and I will invite you in. Let me know that you want to be in this faction to play with mature players. We are strict though, you act immature and you are out.

So far I am impressed with the group of players.

Lol, depends of the faction. Feral's not known to be clean - we have a perverted and twisted sense of humor alright, but we know limits. When chat dies because of it, it's gone too far, and people are quick to change topic.

We're not suitable for kids and we warn whoever wants to join the faction. In 99% of the cases I have no problems. Since people are warned that we may get NC17 fast ("may" is a loose term) as they are given the faction rundown in PM, it pretty much filters on its own. The people who aren't comfortable with such topics generally refuse, but I have some people sometimes who lie and sneak in, and then attempt to cause drama.

The kinda BS I get when I don't filter, or when I do and people lie to get in?

- Someone who doesn't have any limits when it comes to lewd behavior, wants to cyber in faction chat, and tries to seduce every guy in the faction (that doesn't work with me...). The girl was later told to leave by my director and I, she made a HUGE scene about it, and later tried to get my whole faction against me. She harrassed several faction members, tried to get them against me, and later PMed my director to demand apologies. She then wanted back in Feral because we were "her only family", and the loss was like "losing a pet you really, really love".

- A guy who had his mind set on "you're in-game, you ARE at your desk, OR LOG OFF U SHOULDNT BE AFK THATS RUDE I NEED HELP NOW." He PMed every officer online, and they were all indeed AFK. They were 3. I was semi-AFK on a non-titled alt.

- Racist and homophobic remarks... in a guild led by 2 **** men and has several Black, LGBT, and other ethnic/religious people within the faction;

I'd rather people tell me "I hate XYZ!" in PM as I recruit them, than having to go through the latter's entire massive **** and chaos again. (Note: If I have to AFK because I'm mad... I'm BEYOND mad. I'm freaking about to punch something. There are some limits do not cross with me, even online.)

I'll agree, it's not the fastest method on Earth to recruit... but it's effective. I don't want people to feel uncomfortable with our content, the same way I want to protect my members. And yes, I had a "you're existing, that's enough for me to wish you dead" type of answer.

We saw explicit stuff - the girl whom my director and I asked to leave was, well, way beyond this point. You're on DW? PM Panzer_Panda. I can't even say what she spent HOURS talking about on the forums without getting insta-banned. (How did I stand it? I was semi-AFK nearly all day long...)

I've also had reports that said member changed behaviors when I was around, which lead to investigation from officers and warnings issued by officer/director/me (leader). She was "dating" (BIG quotation marks accompanied by eyerolls and scoffs) a marshal, which was a conflict of interest, and I had a horrible time dealing with it.

Lesson learned: no attention-*****s. Another girl gave it a shot, lasted a week before she realized she wasn't going anywhere with "I'M A GIRL AND I NEED HELP NOW!!!!!!!" attitude. The very last one who attempted it, lasted 2 hours.

I'm old, but not old.

I had always understood "Newb" was someone who was new to something whereas "Noob" was a person that was generally annoying. This latter usage was even built-in to another game I played (a quest of patience with an NPC named "Noober").

I guess my point was that it wasn't solely a slighlty different meaning to just the one person, but to me as well as possibly others. Languages, especially slang terms, have fluid definitions as they evolve over time so I'm sure that my grandmother's understanding of the word "emo" (if she's even willing to recognize it as a word in use) is entirely different than mine. -_^

On topic, I'm 47 in a few weeks.

I am the leader of a faction on heaven's tear, and i have tried to keep us an adult oriented faction. we have an average age of around 30-35, and we have players in their 50's and 60's in our faction. if you are an adult and you play regularly and would like to become a part of a more mature, and very helpfull faction you can pm me in game _OSIRIS_, or contact any officer in PRIMEVAL. we welcome older players and we prefer them to younger players (no offence meant to younger players, it's just the level of maturity is a lot different to older players).
we do have a few youngsters in the faction but it's generally about a handfull, which is what most youngsters are b:laugh

Im 12 years old and i find loads of adults in pwi, i barely find any people under the age of 15.
To be honest, it really sucks not knowing anybody your age b:sad
When i started playing untill now, i have met alot of different people, i have met very little amount of young, mature kids like me, a lot of some very immature adults who act like a spoilt 8 year old who doesnt get what they want, and the rest act their age.
Im sure you will be able to find people your age.
