Wich is the desired lvl to start tanking tt's as a barb the 1-1,1-2,1-3 (stuff for tt70 armor)?
This game is like washing hair with shampoo... Rinse and repeat if desired.
Proud owner of many mains.101 bm,101 seeker,101 demon sin,100 sage sin,101 archer,101 barb,100 cleric,100 wiz( first toon since sept 08 finally made it in 2013)newly added mystic 100 HA,72 psy.

    1-1 you can start tanking around 55. 1-2 and 2-1 you can tank around 65/66 (wurlord will probably be tough) 1-3 and 2-2 you can start low 70s, 2-3 you can start tanking once you hit level 80. Dunno bout 3-1/3-2/3-3, haven't tried those yet, although 3-1 should be easier than 2-3 so probably higher 70s.

    If you can tank 2-2 you can tank 3-1.

    You should be able to tank any TT with +or- 5 lvl under suggested. Only bosses to watch out for are General Wurlord (2-1, 2-2, 2-3), the monkey one (but only 2-2, 2-3), Ancient evil (2-3), that last one in 3-2 if u didnt kill enough mobs(dont remember the name). Didnt do any 3-3s yet, so idk for there.

    if you know what you're doing and built well enough - 2-2 is tankable mid 70's, and is even easier if youve got a veno to purge on Cosmoforce. I've not done any higher than that though

    a 90 barb can tank 3-3 but ideally a veno and archer will both do most of the work (minus Behe of course).

    Tanked 2-2 some days ago, and it wasn't very hard. They said it was a fail run, but I thought it went very well, probably don't know too much about fail runs.
    Anyway, Cosmoforce is just a pushover, we had no venos so 1 cleric used BB and then he hit less than General Wurlord. We died because the free cleric forgot to heal me...
    Since it was my first time tanking Astralwalker, I did not know what was gonna happen and when. The sin decided he wanted to tank, so we let him. It worked until the last wave of enemies spawned, then we died. End of story.

    Yeah, Wurlord isn't very hard either when you know what to do.
    And 1-3 I assume is just about the same as 1-2.

    Any TT is easy to tank with 2 clerics. It's if there's just 1 that u need to watch out for certain bosses. (cosmoforce, wurlord, ancient evil)

    1-3 is wholey different than 1-2. Most notably that Drum and Soul are aoe nightmares for certain classes.

    I've seen 90+ pure clerics go down in 2 hits from Soul's aoe during BB. And Drum? he has a nasty habbit of critting on the tank, or pulling one of his "double hits". Effectively hitting you with melee and mag at the same time (it's a glitch).

    I've seen 90+ pure clerics go down in 2 hits from Soul's aoe during BB. And Drum? he has a nasty habbit of critting on the tank, or pulling one of his "double hits". Effectively hitting you with melee and mag at the same time (it's a glitch).

    granted the clerics I run with arent pure magic by any means (but who needs to be pure magic when a 8/1/1 build or 7/2/1 build will work for heals just fine?). Only cleric I've had die on me in 1-3 on soul banisher is a 73 cleric, and she lived till the last 50k or so HP. Then i just turtled up and finished the fight.

    People make astral walker out to be much harder than he really is. First off the boss himself is totally weak, hitting me only 500 with BB up - and thats enough I dont need a second cleric to IHB or anything. Then when the mobs spawn (only 4 of them lol) you can catch them with roar without even having to stop hitting the boss. I personally managed to keep aggro on all but one of them (metal mob) my first time doing him. The only reason id drop aggro on the metal mob was that a cleric was healing me when i didn't need it - and no one was hitting itb:laugh. But yeah - roar each time it cools down, bestial rage up at all times, if the grouping is nice.. surf impact will hit them all (can slam or ask a pole BM to push the adds into range for your surf impact to hit them), frighten hits them all, and with all mobs on you and bestial rage is activated - doesn't take long to build sparks to sunder at each cool down. cake walkb:victory

    It really depends how good/smart your squad is. I tanked 2-1 in my late 70's, just remember to cancel as many casts and AOE's as you can with Alacrity, if you have solid shield its like a little mini invoke for a couple of seconds which allows the cleric to catch up on your healing. I even solo'd a 1-3 boss with 200k hp left recently when the Cleric died and the AOE killed the whole squad. Event Pots + good refines make you hard to kill.

    Had 1-3 Soul take out most of the party, a few weeks back, but he ended up dropping 4 mirrors, which was nice of him. :P Those TT bosses always seem to get meaner when they're on their last shred of HP.


    /yes, I know Soul's AOE gets progressively stronger over time. I'm speaking figuratively here.

    I rarely do astral, only kill him if the squad plans to do AE, but when I do its usually just me tanking with the squad up on the chains, when the adds spawn the clerics healing will get the aggro of the mob, aggro goes to attack cleric but the cleric will be out of range, so the mobs just reset.

    I rarely do astral, only kill him if the squad plans to do AE, but when I do its usually just me tanking with the squad up on the chains, when the adds spawn the clerics healing will get the aggro of the mob, aggro goes to attack cleric but the cleric will be out of range, so the mobs just reset.

    I'm an aggro-s|ut. When it comes to Invoke vs Sunder during tanking, I nearly always pick Sunder for the damage + heal, unless I'm taking too much heat already. And where Astral is concerned, my parties tend to be on top of the pillar, not actually up the chain out of range. So nobody resets except Naught, who runs around all pissed off and frustrated until Sunder clips him. Then I'm stuck with HIM too, pretty much until Astral drops.

    It's a small trade-off in terms of time, yes, but I've had bad experiences with Astral in the past (the flaw of random squads, I guess), and it generally makes things less hectic to kill one or two mobs and avoid bringing the house, rather than plug away at Astral and end up in the middle of a magical shooting range for the last 1-1.5 million of his HP. Even with BB up, having all of them on you starts to really hurt.

    Yeah, did 1-3 today and I swear I got hit like 9,1k from drum, I was like wtf, is this guy serioius? Was on start of the fight(where I tend to miss 1 or 2 cancels), dunno what he did, but he hitted with his skill, dunno was it due glitch or did hit crit on me, but that hit hurt so much I was pretty sure I`d die at some point. And soul, he aoe oneshotted my clerics with BB on and other with 3k hp, lucky I could turtle & take him down b4 turtle wearing off. But yeah, last 50k on soulbanisher are **** for clerics, no matter what ppl say. Soul dropped 5 or even 6 mirrors that run, which was decent of him as I had to fetch dead cleric from the start of run(rushed mobs).

    But what comes to actual topic, you can pretty much do every TT if your close to the lvl range, with 2 clerics, even with kinda crappy gear and little knowledge. With those 2 on good side, you can do that with 1 cleric, though I`d avoid doing any of the first 1-3s with 1 cleric :).
