Got a bad case of writer's block? Wanna discuss some ideas, characters, advertize your fanfiction, or ask for advice, or discuss your favorite fanfictions to read? Well this is the thread for you!... I suppose... xD

I've often found that talking about my ideas and discussing them can help me to better develop them. I do understand that some people don't quite want to share their ideas for fear of them being stolen but here, other people, not just writers, can give some suggestions or some insight on some things that could possibly help someone through a massive writer's block. (I'm sure some of you may have noticed that I'm having that problem myself x_x)

I also thought of this after seeing that there will be a new race introduced. I'm sure there won't be much discussion about that right now seeing as how they will only be releasing a little information at a time but this sort of development does tend to pose a problem for fanfiction writers.

I'm very disappointed to have to remake this thread because of the immature person(s) that couldn't mind their own business and take their spamming elsewhere. This is not baseball, you do not get three strikes. One and you're out.

2)Also I ask that you do not reply to a stupid spammer so that their presence can be more easily wiped from the thread should they disregard my rule.

Yeah, it is. A fanfiction is a story written by a fan based off of the thing they're a fan of. (and if I see anymore naruto fanfiction I'm going to barf.) A lot of really good writers get their start in fanfiction. For some it's a way improve on their writing technique without messing up their own story b:surrender <---- that would be me...

For others, well, it's because they like the game/tv show/book/ movie, you get the idea. And then of course you have the people that just like to read it. xD

And sorry I snapped earlier on the other thread >.< I was NOT in a good mood.

LOL Kyna... I'm working on Chapter 6 of The Kismet Diaries. I'll let you know once it has been posted.

But in the meantime, how about a 'writers challenge'? Just something to keep our thought processes flowing.

Well the new chapter is out! It didn't take long to write, but I personally wanted the pace to be a little faster and found myself editing and re-editing. If you haven't read the previous chapters, I encourage you to do so, so this one makes sense! New characters and more excitement are just around the bend... so stay tuned!

Kismet continues on her way to Archosaur after receiving her 'Call of Duty' from General Summer. Her vampiric nature is making it quite a difficult trek, and now, having picked up a straggler from Silver Pool, she is challenged to either satiate or stave off her hunger once more.

In my current story, The Kismet Diaries, my character exists within the realm Perfect World. It is not a game... it's her actual life. While my story began in fun, as part of an 'Origins' contest hosted by my faction, I have enjoyed expanding upon her history and adventures on Harshlands. While I try to integrate as many locations, situations and persons found on that server as I go, I do take liberty to make-up additional stuff too. My stories always have a bit of levity to them, as I'm a 'kidder' by nature. So I love laughing, and try to keep comedy in my writing without it seeming too campy.

So, as a fan fiction writer yourself Bell, why not jump right in and share some of your own work with us! If you have yet to create some PW fan fiction, maybe we can help motivate you or share thoughts!

I look forward to more writer exchanges on these forums. Let's help eachother grow! b:victory

erm sry for x2 posting, but i could use a lil help.

No, i am not doing fanfiction, but I am in this authors society and our president has given us a writing prompt, and he wants to see which story is the best. The prompt is describing your dream city. I want to do Etherblade becuase there is so much I can do with it. Any tips/suggestions? Thankz in advance!

Hmmm, depends on what exactly you have to do with the prompt. In any case though, I would suggest getting online and hanging out in Etherblade a little while. Take note of things, write a few things out as a sort of rough draft. Whatever it is that really catches your attention or even some of the small little details that are sort of endearing. When I write a particular place for my fanficiton, then I do tend to log on and hang out there. ^^ it helps for the inspiration part.

And also... vocabulary. Use a thesaurus if you have to :P I do it all the time. Whatever you do you dno't want to just sound like you're listing things. Instead of like... say... bright rays of sunlight, it could be radiant rays of sunlight instead. ^^

Hi Kyna, and fellow fan-fiction writers! Just wanted to post, since I haven't in months, and let you know that I haven't given up the pen (keyboard)... but I have been on hiatus.

The Kismet Diaries will hopefully continue in 2010, however the story arc may 're-roll' as some changes in game have uninspired my original flow.

I'm wondering if I should do one that centers around one of my Tideborns? With the new expansion now out and all and with me having a weird imagination, I can kind of felt my characters when they left their home and started their adventures in a brand new land. Freya was pretty reluctant having to wear new armor that doesn't resemble anything she used to wear before. And then her feelings of being an outsider emerge soon after getting to Archosaur. >w>;

Title: The Nameless Hero (I'm thinking of changing it)

It is a rather long fanfiction and is still going. Currently I am working on Chapter 19. Youcan find the work in progress on page 6.

Gap 1:
The 'mission' to Sadistic Glee is meant to set up the characters in play, rounding off the cast by bringing Ken Wolfe and Alyssa in. Afterwards, the wraiths stage a large offensive, taking several areas and threatening the nearby towns & villages (the masses on the beach outside Allied Camp, the feligars just north of Sumor, etc). The gap is the transition. Any recommendations for going from "WOLFE has joined the party!" to "Oh snap, we gots wraiths"?

Gap 2:
Central to the plot is a direct confrontation with "Aurus." Wolfe is dispatched to Fortress of Talon to recover an artifact key, one that will allow the protagonists to gain access to Aurus (and hopefully, defeat him). Trouble is, at this point in the story there's a lot of things happening more or less simultaneously, and I can't think of a good way to break off from the major conflicts.

Gap 3:
For those who don't remember or haven't seen the original trailer that inspired this, Karok faces down Aurus alone. I'm assuming Wolfe is critically wounded somewhere along the line, able to open the way to Aurus but not strong enough to face him (and Alyssa escorts him out). The question is, how and where do they meet Karok to deliver the key? How to go from (aftermath of?) the big battles to the final conflict?
