the hair transparency bug

as you can see the hair fades to transparent before and now it just looks blocky at the ends, ive not seen or heard nothing about this getting fixed or even acknowledged.

so when can we expect to see this looked into and fixed?

    That doesn't look like a bug to me.

    That looks like the two-tone hair style which, when wait, the second tone appears a light orange/skin colour tone. That's the colour though.

    If you weren't talking about that but the ends of the hair...

    Actually that's not even a bug, it's just sloppy graphics. Seems like a downgrade from DTX3 (or DTX5) DDS encoding down to DTX1, which can only handle black & white alpha channels.

    Or in simpler terms, they saved the texture at the wrong compression.
    It's a snap to fix, but it's probably so low on their priority list the devs would laugh if you brought it up.
    Given that they don't seem to give a rat's rear about relevant bug-fixes.

    Maybe you should shut up yourself if you have no good input to add yourself, making foolish assumptions that somebody wasn't around when X or Y happened when they could have been.

    The difference between you and I is, I'm not so bothered about something this tiny and this minute that so tiny it's not even a bug. You know, because there's more important bugs out there to fix?

    i second that. Its not a bug its the hair style. there are three possibilities. I tried them and yeah its nto a bug. it is ment to be that way. Look at the picture yourself and see that the hair generally has orange stripes(not sure if thats the right word). Try a different skin colour and see if the orange coloud will chance aswell.

    Those look like two different hair styles, so it may just be that. But even so, is it really so important? Like everyone else said, it's minor. Very minor. Not something that really needs to worry about, nor something that really deserves any serious attention. Just learn to live with it. Or don't pay such a small part of the character model any attention.

    I think she means the opacity filter. For those who don't understand or see it, look at the ends of the hair. One looks soft and opaque while the other looks choppy and sharpened. Because of this problem, my Icelace dress from the boutique ended up having holes!! b:cry

    (Note: notice the bottom it's transparent as well as the sleeves compared the first two that has holes?)


    The only areas that provide that transparency for that dress is either TT instances, some, but not all FBs, and Frostcovered City. I can't even bare to wear that dress anymore, yet I love that dress so much. Please PWI, fix this! b:surrender

    very entertaining

    these forums because there just full of people who have no idea, rage and QQ (my issue is for the fools around here, if there not going to fix the minor issues what makes you think there going to fix anything)

    and to top it off a company that dosent give a ___ about its customers, you stand and laugh while you blind rob people of their money so you can go out on the weekends and get drunk staring at some girls ****. you make me sick

    ban me if you want because i have lost all faith in the sanity of this company and forums, ive been here since September 08 and watched nothing but a gradual slop downwards in the IQ of people on here (that dosent include everyone)

    some peopel actually do care about the graphics of the enviroment they play in. the wholes in the icelace dress are the reason why i have not bought that dress and a perfect example.

    The issue with going naked in water or say behind the blue crystals near the armor boss in TT in certain outfits is another major graphical issue. also when my barb embraces my bf's veno her shoes disapear.. b:surrender Its annoying no it doesn't effect gameplay itself but it should be fixed.

    Also at others: if you have nothing constructive or nice to add but shut up and stop QQ'ing really dont bother. b:shutup

    In try clothes, there are holes, but when I had the dress (in two different colors; yellow and black), they didn't show up.

    Is this something that only affects some peoples PC's? I always thought the holes in my dress was due to my bad pc. Just as my pc does not show peoples lips correctly, it's all one colored with white dots. On my girlfriends pc, the hair, lips and my dress looks just amazing.

    Now, I care about graphics when I game, but after all, it doesn't really affect what's fun with the game or not. I didn't start playing the game to make my characther look amazing. b:surrender

    this is what we did have, but after the tideborn were released it was gone and replaced by blocky ends with no transparency, this was also the arise of people appearing naked as fashion went transparent

    to put it in brief, the tideborn package modified a piece of graphical content

    some people refuse to see this or even acknowledge it (prob because they play the game on low graphics), but it has happened... it is changed.

    and obviously i cant do a on off of this graphics glitch comparison shot because all i have to SS's that i had before and after the tideborn patch was released, that is why they are different hair styles to all the QQ'ers
